class is easy if you just pay attention and take good notes. he sometimes doesnt know what hes talking about and just wings it for class. gives you bonus points at the end for attendence. he doesnt make sense when he teaches alot, but easy A.

Very easy class and it's not hard to get along with him. You do take limited photos(the class is mostly photo history), but he does make it a good class to come to. Highly recommend.

word of advice to everyone out there. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Trust me, it's a bad idea. He is a horrible teacher, and 3/4 of the class dropped because the assignments are so out there!

Gary is very disrespectful towards students. Dosent matter what you do, and how hard you try he will make you feel like an idiot, and that hes gods gift to photojournalism. In my honest opinion he should not be teaching.

Easy class, no text book and you get to use notes on the test. Classes are really boring but not hard so it evens out. He does pick favorites so if you take him answer questions and sit up front, he'll love you.

Easy class, you use notes on test. Class in general is very dry. Picks favorites, will critique your work harshly or tell you that you did not put much effort into it. Completely clueless when it comes to technology but you watch a ton of pointless videos. WARNING; Not a photography class, take maybe 5 pictures, mostly lectures about photo history.

Gary gives a rediculous amount of work 4 a 200-level class n doesnt let u work on it at all IN class.We do absolutly nothing in class,just talk about the same thing each day.Dont take his class especially if its in the maclab in cac!this lab is awful! nothing ever works and he doesnt understand this
