Only class I enjoyed showing up to. Honestly, my most favorite class I've ever taken in my entire academic career. I love coming to class and listening to lectures. Sometimes, the things he says can be a tad sensitive in today's world, but has the best intentions. Very caring and approachable. Just read, show up and you will pass.

Easy if you just come to class and read the book. He's nice,funny,and enthusiastic,but doesn't tolerate cell phones. Lectures don't have much to do with the exams, but attendance is a major key. There are only 3 exams and they are all T/F. Try to start studying ahead of time because the tests cover a lot.

One of the most passionate, insightful, professors in my learning life. His delivery of the essentials of nutrition was truly revolutionary for me. Still impacts my life today today raising a family of my own. Much praise for Dr. Gesmond!

This guy is the man! He is REALLY funny, and really knows his stuff. Attendance is like 70% of the grade. His tests are kind of hard, but you will do well if you actually read the course material and listen in class. I would absolutely take another course with him, TAKE HIM!

Tests are ridiculously hard! However he says if you don't miss a class he'll give you 5 extra points n your final grade. Also, the less classes you miss the higher your grade will be, as long as he thinks you're trying he will help you out. Very intelligent and kind man, just don't come in late or try to leave early, he'll give you hell for that!

Great professor!! Smartest one I have had at SCSU. He really knows and cares about what he is talking about. Very strict on attendence, but if you do not miss a class you can't get lower than a B. Tests are impossible, so I reccomend going to every class. He is halirous and makes class interesting!

I personally wasnt' a big fan of his sense of humor... sometimes came off a bit condescending, but overall he's very interesting and well informed. The tests are NOT hard at all. It just requires studying the materials and taking notes. Likes to give test questions testing your comprehension of his opinion, so listen up. Great class all around.

This guy is over 85 years old and he looks like he's 60. His mind is like a 30 year old. He is the smartest person I have ever met. He is so funny, go to every class because you get 4 extra points on your final grade. Tests are extremely hard, unless you study the book and handouts. I loved this professor! Take him for nutrition!!

tests are hard if you don't study. but it's so interesting!! he knows sooooo much stuff! he is hilarious. you cannot fail if you go to every class. attendance is HUGE and he will notice and mention it to you next class if you were absent once. NO CELL PHONES. take notes!!! keep up with reading so you follw the lectures more easily.

Professor Gesmonde is the man. No getting around it. He knows about 99% of everything there is to know about nutrition and anything related to food and the food industry. He's increadibly nice and helpful. Sadly, he's a harsh grader and always takes attendance, but you end up wanting to go to every class!

he seems like a nice guy and has all the these stories to tell in class but his tests are extremely hard and they're true and false...i studied for each of them but they were still hard, i felt like i was taking chemistry all over again the book was all about vitamins, minerals, riboflavin all that junk......avoid if possible

He's really funny and has some interesting stories to tell,makes class go by fast, but his tests are extremely hard and probably only 10% of what he talks about in class is on the test, in class he mostly just babbles and goes off into major tangents. READ the book and take good notes and show up to class cause with him attendance counts big time

Dr.Gesmond is very smart, his classes go by quickly because he has so much valuable information to give. He is funny, but strict. Attendence is a big part of class, as are NOTES! His tests are hard, but if you take excellent notes you will be ok and study hard. Dont miss any classes
