I love Mme Willging. I had a one on one with her and she let me vent to her. She is relatable and understands her students. She really loves her job as well. She is challenging but you CAN do well if you study. You MUST participate in class and take notes, she sees all. Very down to earth and knowledgable. You will learn a lot.

If you want an A in this class you have to put in the effort; read the book, write the papers, study for the quizzes. Graded on papers, quizzes and participation along with two group projects. Not a terribly hard class, but stay up to date and you'll be fine. She really does care about her students and makes the class interesting with discussion.

Comment:

Dr. Willging was the best French professor I've had at OSU. The readings assigned in her course were difficult, and took quite a while to get through, but everything you needed to know for the tests was discussed in class. Exams were extremely fair and she always respected your opinion, as long as you could support it.

Comment:

She is a very professional woman and its clear she is good at her job. She is good-natured and very kind to students, but definitely challenges you. She is very helpful in all her feedback and really cares to make you better. she is direct and even when she is talking about abstract things, she does her best to make things clear.

She's not an easy A. I ended up barely ever doing the readings and getting by. There's a class discussion on them every class. The tests are kind of hard even with the review. I always got a B or C on them and I studied. If you're talkative this will get you far. You have to write 2 papers. She's a good prof and she's patient with everyone.

You have to talk in this class or else you'll get a horrible participation grade. It doesn't matter if you understand what everyone else is saying, you take notes, etc. You'll get no participation grade. YOU HAVE TO TALK! It's stupid. Plus her exams are hard. You really have to study for them. She thinks she's an amazing lecturer, but she's not.

I do not like this professor's methods. She is more interested in style than substance, in terms of writing. Discussions are very superficial and she expects people to know stuff that is never explained clearly. Expectations are not well outlined. Not particularly tough grader, but picky about little insignificant things. Didn't learn from her.

Prof. Willging is great. She does a good job of trying to break down complex ideas for beginners. She's also quite patient considering that she has to repeat herself a lot. I don't want to linger too much on comments about her appearance but she dresses very well, her style is nice.

Loved her class. She was easy to understand and made lectures fun. A lot of reading was required, but the subject matter was generally really interesting. Tests and quizzes weren't too hard. Overall, she's a great professor, and I'd really recommend taking a class with her!

Such a great teacher. Even if you go in to the class hating French, you'll come out with at least a better appreciation for the language. She makes learning about a language interesting, and she has an amazing ability of keeping the students engaged. I definitely reccomend her!

I love her! She is one of the best professors I have had at OSU. She's tough but fair and if you work in class you'll do fine. I completely loved her class.
