Great professor. Stats is hard subject to learn and teach but he minimizes the hurt on students by explaining things very clearly. Does not use the textbook much other than to assign homework. He shows us an easier way to do stuff rather than using the book. Very good prof. If you have a chance, take it with Yoshi.

Good teacher, he lets you use a full sheet of notes front and back for the tests. Assignments aren't that bad. He lays the notes out nicely for you and is always open for questions. Pretty funny too but kind of a dry sense of humor.

I love this guy. He was awesome. Despite no one laughing, I found his jokes to be right on cue and funny as hell. I feel like I know his sisters. I had the fortune of having just come out of Stats194 otherwise I can see this class being hard, hard, hard. He does a nice job streaming everything to you. Homework is required daily.

He tries to keep this class as simple as possible so you can understand it. The material is almost guaranteed to be foreign to you unless you have experience in stats, but he goes through examples in class to help make it easier. Going to his office is useless, he will just stare at you like you're an idiot. Go to the tutor lab for help on homework

Very good professor. Very helpful but his class is very boring. You will rarely get out of class early. His tests are ok as long as you study and do the homework. Highly recommend him.

Class is hard! Tests are hard, but he lets you use a cheat sheet of anything you want to put on it, which is extremely helpful (take lots of notes). Class is so boring and he tries to make jokes, but they are the least funny jokes ever. Goes fast and you can't miss a class or you will be confused. Textbook necessary for weekly HW. No D2L. Try him.

He seems like a nice enough guy...I never went to his office for help, so don't know for sure!! I'm glad that i am taking this class with him. He explains everything clearly and he does not have any foreign accent. Exams are easy as well if you go to the class. Probably the best bcis 242 professor in SCSU. Talks a lot about his sisters. Take him!

Comment:

You should never underestimate him, although his placid demenor rarely shows upset or anger. He has increadible follow-through, and expects the same from his students He is patient when it comes to giving a hand of help, but you have to show respect for his subject. Otherwise,you'll make him angry. His humor can be deep but cynical or simply black.

A really good and funny teacher!! The tests aren't hard if you actually go to class, you are allowed a sheet of notes on the test and if you put the class notes on there you should have everything you need. good job makeing a boring subject fun, give...detailed examples and talks about his family a lot. i would really recommend him as a teacher!!

The work he gives out isn't OVERLY difficult, but you can't sleep through his class and pass either. Make sure you read the book well since he isn't the most clear when explaining difficult concepts. Try not to fall behind because he doesn't take well to questions about material he's already covered.
