Comment:
He's funny and incredibly intelligent but if you don't have to take him then don't. I'm learning a lot in his class, but it's medieval french lit and it's boring AF. He's doing the best he can though he grades unfairly. Grading my English grammar in essays Georgie? Not cool, and not relevant. Study, check grammar, and you'll pass

Dr. Harding takes French seriously. He really wants you to learn French to the best of your ability. Sometimes it gets annoying to hear, "'umm' (homme) is man in French. Try again." But overall, he's a nice guy with corny jokes that really makes you work for your grade. Study the vocabulary, and make sure you put the accents in the right place.

Deaf and blind but he definitely knows his stuff! I guess that's a good thing, given he's the ONLY German teacher.

Dr. Harding is very easy to listen to and keeps class interesting. The subject matter is hard, but he's very helpful and will do everything he can to make sure you understand. Tests are exactly what the study guides say they are which is very nice.

Dr Harding is a very fine person. When I visited him a few years ago he let me take over his German classes and it was so much fun working with him. I am not a German National but speak German with hardly any accent and Dr. Harding knows that. Keep up the good work old boy and hope to visit you again soon. Dr. Mettar

He's quirky, funny and a bit crazy, but a language genius. He really loves teaching and is a very nice guy overall. He'll help you out, but it's not an easy A - you have to study the sheets he gives you.

He's not *that* bad. He's funny too. You really have to study though; don't just expect to listen in class and study for an hour and make an A. Ignore most of what he says in class and just study the sheets. I pretty much taught myself French the whole semester.

I stuggled through four semesters of foreign language but I feel it was still worth it. But as a Visual Arts Major, I think everyone should have to take four classes of foreign language. Dr. Harding's jokes were very cheesy, but they still make you laugh. But if you don't study, you will not survive this mans class.

jokes are so horribly wrong that you can't help but chuckle as you die a little inside. he's a very interesting, and nice guy, but as far as learning the language, he tries to relate everything in german to every other foreign language out there (french, spanish, latin, portugese, etc) and it can get confusing.

Hey, you want a rush? Go to Germany with this guy in the summer. You'll learn the language better and you'll learn why he loves it so much. His jokes? Well, as he warns his students: "The jokes get worse as the semester goes on...."

He expects you to know the language as if you lived in France for a few years. When he gives tests, you had better know every vocab word and know every accent becacause you will get serious points taken off otherwise.

ok, a 101 course. we don't know the german language, so don't speak it for more than 75% of the course. frustrating and annoying at times.
