Disorganized with her lectures, oftentimes does not end up finishing the questions that shes solving so youre unsure of the answer. Makes a lot of mistakes and is quite rude to students. Go to gradesavers and complete math labs and youll do good

Comment:

She prepares you very well for the exams, so even though attendance isn't mandatory, i highly recommend it. Covers a lot of material in class, most of the time goes over by 10mins. She can sometimes seem condescending when answering questions, it's important not to take it personal and keep asking questions nonetheless! You're there to succeed :)

Rhodes makes Cal I one of the most fun courses you'll ever take as an undergrad instead of total perdition. CAUTION: if you don't have a firm background in pre-Cal, this course will be a nightmare. But if you've taken MATH 201, get ready to have some laughs supplemented by clear instruction with lots of examples taken from old exams. She's a blast!

Took her for 208 last semester and I retook her this semester for 209. She's straight to the point and teaches us only the stuff that might be on the exam. No extra stuff ''for curriculum purposes''. Very funny as well, so lectures pass by quickly, but you need to show up to class cuz it's a 2 hour class with a lot of material and you need to focus

READ! She is truly amazing. I usually dont rate professors but she is a must. She focuses on whats on the exam without leaving anything out. She explains clearly and does maaany examples. She is very approachable and you cannot get a bad grade !

Professor Rhodes made my 6-8 class bearable. If it weren't for her, I would've dropped within the first week. She gives solid examples, tells you everything you need to know, and is also hilarious. She moves fast, which wasn't a problem for me, but for some, it might be. Even then, just ask her on spot and she'll clarify immediately.

Barbara for 208 was a game changer. She focused on what was going to be on the exam. Personally I enjoy that kind of teaching rather than teaching us 100 differents things and then only 50% of it being on the exam. She doesn't use a PowerPoint, and does everything on the board, which I find 1000 times better because you actually see the steps.

Worst problem: Not enough explanation, too many examples. She tries to be funny, but somehow the whole 2 hours are unbearable, she does the math by heart instead of giving useful formulas and shortcuts to save time on the final, it has been quite the harrowing experience for absolutely no reason, and overall made an easy class a convoluted mess

shes honestly so funny and focused in class. she gives solid examples but moves on very quick!! she grades quite hard, so make sure you follow her solutions. do your math labs and previous tests/exams and you will do fine, despite whatever teacher you have.

Great teacher for Math 209. She explains the material very well and makes lectures interesting. Math 209 is a tough course regardless, so it is important to study and do all the recommended practice questions in the textbook before exams to fully understand everything.

I don't understand the love for this teacher. She spends most of the class trying to make you laugh instead of teaching you. The material is fairly simple so you can get by but if her relaxed teaching style isn't your thing then you will spend all semester dreading her class. 28 people got an F. The most common grades were A+, B & B-.

An amazing math teacher. Easy to follow lectures with lots of examples. She gives great tips for exams and tells you exactly what you should study. Also fairly funny. Only downside is that she goes a little fast at times. Definitely take her if you get the chance.
