Took summer trig. No real office time. No time to ask questions. After trying to teach yourself at home you come in to take tests things you haven't really been taught well. Lecture is a regurgitation of the book, yet book still does better. Probably nice guy, but terrible instructor. No extra credit. Loads of homework, but poor examples for exams

Showed up 30-40 min early to class to answer any random questions we might have. Routinely worked through class-breaks to help students out. The class easiness is a 5 if your good at math; the easiness is maybe 2 or 3 if your not real good at math (or you have a full time job, or are taking 5 classes at the same time).

Worst instructor I have ever had. Only concerned about the students who are advanced. If you ask a question he tries to ridicule you because you did not understand him the first time. He advises students to drop the class if they don't understand because he does not care. He offered 1 hour of office time to a summer class of 32. Very bad professor.

This instructor is among the best. He knows math and is well prepared before every class. He stresses the importance of the core concepts to better prepare you for future math classes. If your skills are rusty or if math doesn't come easy, don't take the Summer class.

I have had over 6 math teachers at ARC, and he is by far the best of those. He never goes over a test or quiz in class, because he wants you to utilize his office hour, when I went there he would always spend the time answering all my questions. class is fairly easy my half effort got me a c.

extremly tiring class. very boring, and it was so hard to stay awake. taking notes and asking questions is a must in order to pass. if you dont have question he moves very fast. doesnt really care about attendence but if you dont show up the class will be harder. Soooo much homework and 1-2 pop quizes a week. Be ready to work hard with him!!!!

I am taking him now and I DON NOT recommend him to anyone! He won't go over the quizes or tests in class. He tells us no. He talks to us like we're dumb, tells us were gonna fail and have to take him next semester. He's the worst math teacher ever!

I am SO horrible and math and have been avoiding this class. I tried to find a professor last semester and went to 2 different classes the dropped because I knew I would not get the help I need from the teacher. Matsumoto was AMAZING and extremely patient. I am glad I had him for a teacher!

easy class. just do the homework. he does talk to people like they are dumb though and its kind of annoying. People were scared to ask him things but still got a good grade! (oh and he talks about how important it is to be in class but barely ever passes around the role sheat!

He is a great math teacher! I've hated math my entire life, but with his great lectures and positive feedback I've learned to hate it less. This class is not easy, but you will learn alot. He is very kind, highly reccomend him!!!

Comment:

One of my favorite math teachers of my entire educational life. His explanations were extremely clear, the HW wasn't bad, and the class was fairly entertaining, for a math class. If you're too lazy to actually try in his class, of course you're not going to get a good grade. That minitory bit below is obviously BS, or he wouldn't be teaching still.

This class has a lot of work, but what math class doesn't. Matsumoto is a different kind of teacher with his tests, his tests make you think about the concepts instead of just going through the motions of each problem. Good professor if you really want to learn the material.

Pretty good at explaining material. Tests were challenging. Others, as well as myself, could have recieved better grades had he not led a tuitoring group that only consisted of minorities. I asked him if I could attend his group, and he told me that since I was not a minority, that I could not come.

WORST teaher i have EVER had.He doesnt teach you anything. HE rambles on about nothing and is too smart to be teaching such a low level math class. BAD BAD...dont ever take him youll regret it
