Kirks class was challenging but felt very rewarding to earn good grades. I like that the tests are just 2 essay questions, which takes a lot of pressure off. He allows makeup work with the exception of quizzes. If you email a question he will send you back a 10 page response. He really cares about the class and students.

This class has a terrible, if not the worst setup I've encountered in an online class. No reason someone needs to search far and wide or mindlessly read through blocks of text to obtain something that should be bullet pointed. The actual classwork and assignments are very annoying and tedious. Take any other class if you need elective credits.

took this over the summer online, loved his teaching style, he's very funny and understanding which makes for a good teacher. does want to help his students pass but also LEARN, I loved this class. Hes fast at responding and clear with instructions. Lots of reading, writing papers, but he helps if you don't understand something. recommend him !!

I ended up taking online over Summer A. Being in such a short time, there was a lot of work and reading. Every few days there were things due. He gives you so much information on what he wants and answered every question I asked. Everything came from the textbook. Would highly recommend this class. Just talk to him if there is an issue. He listens.

A lot of work for this class (I am not a lazy student). Easy A if you complete all assignments, seems easy going and accepts late work. Did not learn anything with this course. Professor seems a little condescending through announcements. I would not recommend this class overall.

He is a great teacher is very understanding of outside stuff. Lets you make up a paper if you missed it as long as you tell the truth. I've only experienced good things from this professor. He is a great guy!!!

Mr. Kirkconnell is very nice and understanding however, the Introduction to Ethics class that he teaches online is a lot of work. It's not necessarily hard if you study and read the material but it's A LOT of reading and lecture and the homework assignments are extremely long and time consuming. If you do all of your work you will pass.

One of the best professors I've had, especially for an online course. Lots of reading but he has the course well structured so I could plan ahead. Always emails and responds back in timely manner. Ethics/ Philosophy course though so of course you have to read a lot. He does drop lowest quiz and discussion post so if you have a bad week it's alright

I enjoyed the class, but TONS of reading every week and answering several questions from each chapter, then watch videos and respond and a quiz weekly. He's a good professor and responds quickly. Grades difficult.

Definitely a tougher class but not a bad one to take online. Makes you think, you definitely can't fake your way through this one but I found him to be super helpful if I had questions. Tons of reading but he does provide his own answers to the discussion posts.

So this professor doesn't really care about the needs of his students. I've emailed him asking nicely about quizzes and papers and he just refuses to work with me. Accidentally miss a quiz? He wont reopen it for you. Doesnt give feedback on anything either.

This is definitely not a blow-off class. I got really lucky in taking it for Spring B with no other classes. It would probably be easier spread out over the customary 4 months. He is a good teacher though and tries to help the students out when they are obviously struggling.

I thought professors were supposed to help students and bring constructive criticism. Doesn't have a clear grading criteria, his modules can be confusing. I don't complain about the amount of work because I'm in college but you'll have no life. Don't take other difficult courses along with this one.

Professor Kirkconnell is amazing! The readings can be intense but most of the time he posts his own answers to the questions he assigns for homework for you to use as a reference. He grades on effort and participation, not necessarily correctness. He's great about late papers, he would rather read a good paper that's late then a bad one on time.

Great teacher! Lots of reading and writing every week. He allows you to work ahead. I suggest that you do. I was able to get an A but I had to work really hard for it. Feedback was prompt and helpful. I would take any of his classes. Hardest part was reading the responses of others and their posts and not being able to respond with a facepalm :)

Fantastic teacher when it comes to feedback, helping understand the writings, and fair grader. However, this class is the hardest class I've had to take yet...: extremely unorganized curriculum. Read everything and I mean everything, or you'll miss hidden assignments within hundreds of paragraphs that aren't needed, & horrible reading material.
