Really disappointed! I read a few great reviews on him and i highly suggest to anyone, DO NOT take this class with Asher! He doesnt care about your learning experience. I havent learned anything in this online class there are 3 exams each over 3 chapters which are 60-80 pages long. Exams are hard and non-relative. Im skimming by with a low B..

All information is conveyed via the e-book and related e-materials. Professor Asher does not participate in the teaching of the material whatsoever. This is a good class for self-motivated, mature students who are willing to put in the time and effort to master the material on their own.

I highly recommend anyone who is interested in PSY to NOT choose Greg (Paul) Asher as a professor. During this online course, he only provided a link to the online book and assigned 3 proctored exams. He did NOT communicate with his students, provide feedback, let us look over our exams after they were graded, or be accessible outside of class.

This was one of the easiest classes I've had. To do well, all a student needs to do is go through the interactive textbook, and keep good notes. (I cut-and-pasted a lot.) You can use notes for the three exams. There was no other homework! Extra credit was offered as well. Don't misunderstand, the class isn't a blowoff--it takes an effort to learn.

The class has 4 assignments total. You are responsible for reading the chapters assigned and then taking your proctored exam. 3 exams total and the opportunity for extra credit. Online book has a lot of practice activities to help you prepare plus you get a page of notes for each exam. If you actually read you'll pass. Very little interaction

Online classes generally leave a lot to be desired, but with this class, I was sorely disappointed. The entire class consists of reading through the textbook and taking exams. Exams are spaced 2 weeks apart, and they cover 3 chapters each. Little to no instructor interaction. The online textbook was cool though. Only take if you don't want help.

This was a very challenging class. There was very little help from the teacher and the extra credit did not relate to the exams. You have three weeks to read three chapters and then take an exam. Very tough if you learn more hands on. I will not take his classes again.

I wish Greg taught 237. I loved taking 201 online from him. 3 exams, no homework. If you read the material and study the vocab and key points you will do great. He grades on a curve. If you are self directed and just wanna do your own thing, take this course. I thought it was an easy A.

He is snide when you ask a question, and that is the only interaction you get throughout the term. I don't know why people like him are paid to teach, anyone could do his job.

Greg gave me a second chance to take an exam when I unfortunately missed the deadline. For the most part, he was understanding and willing to help. Definitely not an easy "A" class. Put in the work and study time and you'll succeed.

Regret taking this course online. No discussions, no instructor presence. Read 3 chapters from the book. Take the test. Read next 3 chapters. Repeat. I didn't learn well this way. I needed discussion and interaction. Instructor took five days to respond to urgent emails. Think twice before taking this course.

Difficult course, no opportunity for extra credit. I did like that the instructor did a curve grading, that was really helpful, but there was almost nonexistent interaction with instructor, felt disconnected.

For this class online you take 3 tests over 3 chapters each in the book. That all you know. You barely have enough time to read, understand and study the chapters before you take the test. You have to take the tests at the testing center which is impossible to get a hold of. The tests are hard and the teacher is no help.

This class was very difficult, especially online. I found myself very frustrated when the material that was in the test was not gone over in the text. This class was lacking. I passed, but I know a lot of students in my class that did not. When students would ask for extra credit they could do to make for the exams he refused. Not very flexible.

This online class was a joke, the practice quizzes had nothing to do with the real tests and his only answer was study. I took my notes in there with not an ounce of paper left to write on and they were basically useless. the stuff on the quizzes is really random. The teacher doesn't seem very concerned or caring about your education. POOR

This is the worst teacher I have had at Chemeketa. In this class he gives you 3 exams and they all must be proctored. He also omits pages in the textbook making his practice quizzes for the exams useless. He is confusing and does not respond to email regularly. The exams are 60 multiple choice questions with front a back 1 page of notes.

He is the worst instructor I have ever had, he expects you to memorize random things spread throughout the chapter, and doesn't give you a study guideline to follow. He refuses to tell you what you got wrong on exams, and his response to your requests for help are always "study harder, and get a head start" even if you're doing that. He is useless!

This teacher refused to inform me which answers were marked wrong on my exam, even though correct answers were marked wrong on his practice quizzes. He claimed the exam would be "compromised?. When I suggested he copy/paste the questions I?d missed into an e-mail message he explained he ?didn?t want to?.
