Professor Neikirk is super chill and cares about his students. No tests and no homework. The assignments are 5 written articles, with a new one due every other week. The final is 5 more submitted all at once, but he's not looking for anything super long, so it's not that bad. He also assigns groups of 2 to present a chapter from the textbook.

Professor Neikirk assigns 3-4 assignments per week, two of which are writing-heavy. The other two are a weekly journal where you answer questions at the end of each chapter, and a discussion post on different creative topics he creates himself. It's a fair amount of work, but all of the assignments are in the syllabus, so I recommend working ahead.

Professor Neikirk is a class act, and a wonderful person. The man knows his material, and is a honor to have as a professor and a mentor. I only took him once but the knowledge I gained from his was amazing. He is a must for any college student!

Took an online Business & Tech Writing class with this professor. Lots of work -- redundant at times -- but he did ease back when this became obvious. It definitely improved my writing and he gave good feedback.

Material was not hard to understand but this guy gave too much hw. He was a tough grader too because hes very specific of what he wants. Open up assignments for one week. The book was cheap on amazon. Took him cause this class does need to be taken in class and it was offered online.

Took Business Writing online with him. He is a bit of a tough grader, but always explains why a submission needs revising when it does. The assignments are only 1 page (letters or memos), and he gives plenty of help on how to do it the way he expects. I would definitely take him again.

Took him for business writing online the workload is heavy (atleast 3 assignments a week) and he is tough with grading. He does put an effort in to teaching but the high amount of assignments and criticism make you hate writing

I took Business and Tech writing online with him, and it was great. He's well organized, is pretty clear about grading, and responds to emails quickly. You need the textbook but it isn't too expensive and it's actually really useful. As long as you can set aside time to do the work, you're golden. I've heard he's a good professor in person too.

Took business writing in class, it was his first time doing this not online. He is a nice person and wants to help. Takes attendance. There is a good amount of work to be done each week. He always finds something wrong with your work and will always take some points off your grade. Get on his good side and he'll give extensions if you need it.

Had him for business writing online. The class was very well organized week-to-week and for the most part he kept up really well with grading and responding to students. Certain grading criteria gets a little bit weird but for the most part he's very fair and doesn't really overload you with work. Nice guy.

He is an amazing professor! Have recommended to many people and they have had great experiences as well. He is very supportive of his students and is very understanding. He is one of the best professors at Westfield State and is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Will take my third class with him next semester.

He is a really really nice guy. Willing to help you with anything, and easy to get on his good side. Pretty easy grader, and definitely the easiest english class i have ever taken in my entire life. Essays are on what you want to write about, and short.
