She is alright, the lectures are extremely long and boring and go overboard and gets confusing. A lot of topics are covered but not enough time is spent on it to understand & learn. The exams she gives is very tough (study review problemsgo to her reviews). Homework on connect was alright, but the project was HARD. She is passionate about FINce.

Comment:

Midterm, Final, Homework, and a Project. The exams are fair, but very tedious. The lectures and the power point slides are way too long. The best way to learn is to do the review questions as well as the connect homework. The lectures were boring and did not contribute much to my understanding of finance. The group project was a pain. She's okay.

I graduated 2 years ago... Now I work at Hedge Fund... and guess what? I am working on the projects that we had "exactly" to do with prof Webb.... Merger and Acq. I just remember her and decided to leave a comment. She is a great prof. I highly recommend her! It is much easier for me to work on my projects because of her real world examples.

Comment:

Prof. Webb is very well organized and very upbeat. Tests are fair but you need to know what's in her notes. The textbook is good but out of date on many current topics, which she covers in class. Highly recommended for risk management.

No attendance. You can cram an avg. of 80 on the 2 midterms. However, final was a shock even she said "there will be curves". Lectures were boring because everything were directly from the slides. Explanations were not thorough. Not recommended if you are looking for a really interesting finance class. Everything is about banks.

She's good and pretty funny, but gives quite a bit of info. Most of it you don't need to memorize, as the MC exams are a very basic version of the problems(and solutions) she posts on BBoard. You can totally cram the day before the exam (which she kind of expects you to) and do very well. No attendance, but people show up out of inertia,n daydream.

Absolutely horrible for risk management. One of the worst "professors" I ever had at Baruch, which is saying a lot. Just reads of slides and gets confused herself. Always makes mistakes, no point in going to class. You basically have to learn everything yourself and the exams have NOTHING to do with the class. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

She is a great professor, but you need to study for the exams. She has an even spread for her exams half numerical and half conceptual. Homework's were online and easy, but not on the exam. She is very clear and concise on explaining the topics. Ask questions if you don't understand.

She explains well on the lecture notes. However, the exams are very hard which half of the class got failed. She didn't care about her students, won't be available after class. She always prepared 6 versions of tests and assigned your seat. Horrible Professor, AVOID!!!!

Overall she is a nice professor. She cares students to learn about the material. She replies your email in less than 24 hours and also available outside the classroom. Two exams and online homework, which counts for 15%. Study the review questions days before the exam. They really help.

Professor Webb is not an effective teacher in my opinion. What she teaches is far removed from the real world and her exams test random, insignificant facts. I did well in the class because I studied hard, but I would not recommend her.

Risk Management I: Attendance not mandatory, homework is graded (10%), two exams (multiple choice). As long as you do the homework and read the assigned chapters you will do fine. You don't have to go to class to get a good grade, but she does explain the material very well and she provides a lot of extra interesting material.

So I just graduated and let me tell you this - she is the best finance professor I have ever taken at this school. Really cares about the subject and teaches well (has no accent, how nice!). She is also pretty reasonable and doesnt have "out of this world" expectations. Highly recommend taking her.

One of the better professors imo. very clear and helpful, helps you LEARN, does not throw things at you and expect you to know everything unlike others. i dropped 3610 the first time, but did much better in her class. She will change the percentages of the grade distribution in your favor. Great professor.

Just so everyone knows, she gives out 5 or 6 versions of the test. She also gives you assign seating for the test. She also writes your name on the test before giving it to you. She does curve and adjust the percentage count of the each test in your favor though.
