Very Inspirational professor. Gives a lot of homework, but most of it you can easily finish it in the lab hours if you pay attention to his lectures. Do no talk during his lectures. Very helpful and nice when you ask questions, and gives you a lot of useful tips. Also, his website instructions are very specific and will help to complete assignments

Comment:

Professor St. Ours is a very good teacher in Summer Term 1 GDES 116. He explains everything extremely well and explains every step great detail. The class was 5 hours twice a week and you get the work done in class. The whole lecture takes about half the class and then he gives the rest of the class time as lab time to finish the HW. Great class.

This prof is terrible & VERY sarcastic. He has terrible grading criteria. Following directions gets you a B. He doesn't like giving out A's. Don't trust his lax instructions, do 2x the amount of work he says. This class is painful bc of the lack of concrete instructions. I hate art even more now. I will now avoid art at all cost. Thank you prof.

Professor Harry is honestly one of the best professors i have ever had. He is one of the MC professors that really care about your future and your success. He is very inspirational and very talented; he's an author if you guys don't know and he knows a lot about Digital Arts. Makes grading crit. very clear so if you get a bad grade, its on you

This Professor has a huge temper and gets really annoyed easily. Most often he'll yell at students and then end class early. It's a mystery on how he has a high rating when he just uses the class to feed his ego. Like everyone else says, he's is a condescending man. Took him last semester and the whole class hated his attitude towards students.

I came into this class with at least some experience in the applications covered, and I expected to be bored. Surprisingly, I wasn't; I learned some new tricks I never knew before. Professor knows his stuff. Show up and don't talk when he's talking.

Great professor but very condescending. Don't expect to even talk to your neighbors a bit during his lectures. He hates it. Likes to talk a lot but usually gives out very helpful tips. Projects are clear and easy to follow. Just show up and follow what he demonstrates. Just don't talk when he talks. Also be sure to name your stuff correctly.

Great professor and really easy to understand, as he goes into a lot of detail when it comes to tips tricks w photoshop, illustrator, & indesign. The downside: he definitely tends to condescend if you're one of those people who gets repeatedly lost, but is normally good at articulating directions. SO happy I took his class! ! Highly recommend.

The actual exercises and learning by doing in the class are excellent, and fun, but he is not a teacher. If you're new to graphics, he is very impatient with questions and has no trouble embarrassing you in class. Think "temperamental artist." He is extremely impatient and finishes class early. I felt pushed not to use the whole lab time.

You will learn a lot. Packs SO MUCH into a class (i had him at night), I often just took notes and later made sense of it during home work. Homeworks build on one another; keep that portfolio perfect. He gave good feedback on every assignment. Yeah, once or twice he reminded me of Michael Douglas in "Falling Down". It shows he cares.

Very good teacher. i recommend him. He is one of the best college professors you will ever have. The only problem is that he gets a temper when someone asks him a question. I recommend that you learn Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, etc before you take his class because he doesnt have the patience to show how to do stuff.

He's alright. Very very very picky about his rules, and very very **** for the Macintosh with no real explanation why. You learn a lot though.
