For students looking to become teachers she is the greatest professor for that. She will do anything to assure you understand her expectations and will go above and beyond to educate you in being a teacher. Ask her as many questions as you can she is so filled with knowledge and if she doesn't have an answer right away she will come back with one.

You'll be able to spit out a lesson plan in 5 seconds, BUT she doesn't believe in giving As. She says its not about the grade, but rather the experience. In my opinion, she ruins the experience by ruining your grade. If i deserve an A- or B+ give it to me, but not if it is labeled "excellent work". Don't expect an A no matter how hard you work!

Best professor ever! Gives a large amount of work however very easy & explains everything Received 3 A-'s in all 3 of her classes ....she doesnt believe in giving A+'s, she believes every student can do better

Absolutely wonderful. I cannot day enough about this professor. Her heart and soul is in teaching, and she looks for that from her students. She expects dedication, and rightfully so, but her door is always open for questions about her class and the education profession in general. I have felt so blessed to be one of her students.

She is one of the sweetest, most caring, helpful professors at St. John's. I learned alot from her and I feel much more confident about teaching because of her. Don't listen to other people's negative comments, her classes are alot of work but if you come to class you will be fine. I got an A-!

She was the only professor to ever give me a B. I don't mind such a grade if I feel that I learned something in the class, but I did not. I am a good teacher today--no thanks to her. She doesn't give A's because she wants her courses to seem challenging.
