McDearman is an awesome professor. She gives you every chance to do well in her class. If you do not do well in her class you are not trying hard enough.

She is a nice lady, but all of her quizzes are very tricky. She loves trick questions. I studied for the second exam for over a week and went to every class took notes read the book asked for help and I still made a 60. she tends to change one word in a question which makes it false. just a very hard class. I tried really hard and BARELY left B

She is a very good professor. She makes the lab interesting by saying funny things. Also, she is willing to help you out in anyways she can if you are having trouble. Her quizzes and exams are easy if you study them. She doesn't necessarily check if you have done your lab right. So, just try to enjoy the lab and have fun!

She is funny at times. She grades the weekly lab quizzes hard. And the the one lab report was easy but she grades so hard and it wasn't clear what she want. But she's not too bad.

As I am a bio major, this class was pretty simple for me. If science is difficult for you I would recommend that you find a different teacher. You will find this class very frustrating and hard to follow. To get an A on the tests just review her lecture notes. She almost always adds points to your test grades. I got an A on all the tests.

Very scattered brained. Hard to understand but if you have a good teacher prior to her in high school you will be fine. Go to her office and get to know her it helps. I would personally never take her again.

Incredibly nice. She's so scatterbrained it's hilarious. She expects you to know a lot more than you really should sometimes. I learned/understood everything a lot better in Lab than I did in her lecture. I enjoyed class, but didn't understand half of it. Also, don't spend the 100 bucks on the book. Didn't open it once.

Gave random quizzes most days that were 5 points apiece and were sometime tricky. If you can memorize her notes( you don't need to use the book except for reference or more detail) you will be able to do well. If you don't memorize them, you might struggle with the tests because she will ask very detailed questions for exams.

McD is a funny woman but as for teaching, she gets off topic easy. She writes your notes, you just have to print them out but they're hard to understand. Tests are straight from her notes, but I personally didn't like this class.

There is a lot of stuff to memorize, but anything on the tests is in the notes which she types and posts for you. She is one of the most helpful professors; although a bit crazy and scatterbrained(in a good way). I hardly studied and made a B. There are definitely easier professors for this class, but I would take her again if I had the choice.

Flash cards of the vocab will save you in this class. Sadly I figured it out to late. Her tests are mainly over vocab. She is very random in lecture and extremely hard to follow. I only used the book to draw sketches for her HW assignments. DO HOMEWORK IT IS TAKEN UP FOR EXTRA CREDIT ON TESTS! but its taken up randomly. overrall id say shes decent

GPA KILLER!!!! I am an upperclassman and this is going to be the first C I ever make in college. She talks about irrelevant stuff and her tests are ridiculous. She will give you extra points, but even with those you will still have poor grades. Take it from me, don't take her!!!!!

very hard class. if you think she's funny you have a very sad sense of humor. her class is needlessly in depth for a gen ed course. also, her the questions on the exams are needlessly tricky and even if do well in other classes and study for hours you can end up making a C because of the excessive understanding she expects

Love her! Her class is easy if you pay attention. She gives out tons of extra credit and all her test q's come directly from her notes. She uses lots of visual devices to help you remember harder concepts. I had her for both lecture and lab and aced both. She's a bit disorganized, but once you figure out the way she does notes it's an easy class.

She is a very nice woman, who is passionate about what she teaches; however, she teaches almost directly from her lecture notes (which are very difficult to decipher), and this makes attendance a non-issue. She is very willing to help. Tough tests, lot's of extra credit. Wouldn't be my first choice for lecture, but she's not my last.

She is a horrible teacher, everything i learned, i pretty much taught myself. She is very unclear and its very hard to pay attention in class because she is so boring. her study guides are nothing like the actual tests, and she puts very tricky questions. Her teaching style might leave you puzzled. Although she is VERY willing to help, and tries to in every way. But even after the help you will probably still be confused. A very nice woman, probably one of the nicest professors around, but the class is very tough.
