Do not take this professor is you really struggle in math. He is very fast in his lectures does not break it down for you step by step. He is funny jokes a whole lot in class. He is a tough grader. His lectures are very vague. I do not recommend this professor. He is not an effective professor.

Do not take this professor if you truly need to lean math. He is very knowledgeable in math and he assumes we should know the work. He is very vague when it comes to showing work. I do not recommend this professor at all.

Let's just say this, by the second week of class I was completely overwhelmed. I am not an easy quiter that's for sure but I wasn't going to lie to myself either, I knew i wasn't going to pass his class, so I dropped. He is way to FAST, and doesn't teach clearly. It's like he's in a rush every day! Wouldng recommend him at all!!

He seems like a nice guy but the problems with this professor far outweighs and overshadows any semblance of a positive aspect as he does not seem to elaborate when going through problems on the board. It seems as though he rushes just for the sake of finishing the entire textbook. on top of that, his "jokes" are just painful to sit through. Ugh!

He isn't clear when he goes over the criteria, when you ask a question he kinda passes it by. So, if there's something you don't understand, its not gonna be cleared up by him. You basically have to teach yourself, and if math isn't your strong suit, he isn't the professor you want.

Nice teacher but bad at teaching. Goes fast and skips steps. You have to tell him to slow down, even then he still skips and everyone is like" how did you get that answer?" I've studied for days and i still got F's on the test that only has 10 q's. 1/2 the class is failing. His accent is not bad but i would not recommend him and he gives so much HW

Bad teacher he doesnt teach clearly at all and tells weird random jokes. He goes off topic too much and he has such a thick accent that it was hard to understand him Don't reccomend him at all. Only good he did was give out study guides and went over them a couple days before the test.

Wold not reccomend taking him whatsoever. Doesn't show material clearly. Tires to tell jokes but fails. Very hard to stay awake in this class.The tests are only about 10 questions. Tutoring and a lot of learning on your own will be required because he doesn't really help. If you ask a question he won't answer your question he'll just go around it.

He's very laid back. yeah i can agree it does get awkward when he tells jokes. i mean you could understand him ENOUGH, and if u dont get something he'll be very happy to show u personally and keep explain till u get it. He's ok.

i have never done so bad in math before! im retaking stats and i have learned so much more on the first day with flores than with phan. he did not explain why and how we used formulas. he had his favorite and class and seemed like he was only teaching them. he went way to fast and way too much hw.no study guides or reviews. i did not learn a thing.

he is a very good teacher, gives a lot of homework but he explains each lesson thoroughly, he is very patient with annoying students, he made me understand math and made me enjoy taking a math class, easy to pass just do all the homework and do the tests which in total are 5hw and 5 tests incl. final, and your good, want to take him for Math 60.

Mr. Phan, is a fun instructor he makes the class interesting, the only thing is that he was going super fast to finish the book, but he was super enthusiatic about math, and very patient with some of the students, also he likes to motivate us to do better. He changed my last bad experience with math.
