Comment:

Yamaga can be very helpful when explaining things if you can get past the fact that she's somewhat disorganized. Homework can be a bit much (average would be about 20 problems from the book per night), but overall very caring and a pretty lenient grader if she knows you know your stuff. Still gotta work for that A though, don't slack off!

Subarashii desuyo! She is a great teacher, but expects a lot. Nothing crazy, but sometimes it can move a little fast. Very helpful and not that strict. Go for it!

Comment:

Yamaga sensei is an awesome teacher. She cares about her students and she is really fast about grading work. You -will- get left behind if you miss class, especially if your in upper division. Kanji quiz everyday, tests are pretty straight forward once you get used to them. Study well!

This teacher is pretty cool, but not easy, because the japanese classes, in general, are fast paced. Therefore, one can get lost if missed one day of class. However, this teacher could improve by starting to use blackboard. The good thing about her is that she grades your tests and quiz right away.

I enjoyed Yamaga Sensei's class. She does tend to go all over the place when she teaches, but it's not that hard to follow. Her grading is a little strict in the later chapters, but she's lenient on the final and last midterm (that is if the entire class is on her good side). Enjoyable class. I wish I could take her for 112.

Intersting teacher all around. Sometimes she can be confusing, but she likes to help so it's okay. She gets confused if you ask her questions while she's writing stuff on the board, and sometimes you can be left in the dark, but go find her during office hours if you miss something and you'll be fine.

If you get to class on time and don't miss many lectures you'll stay on her good side. She teaches straight from the book so I recomend reading ahead of time. Personality wise she's kind and very aproachable. She's not as intimidating as Higurashi and Kitajima can be but her teaching might not be as effective. Still, she'll get you through 311.

Really unorganized! If she doesn't understand what your question is, she just says yes and goes on. If you can break the language barrier, she is a very nice lady and cares alot about her class. You must study on your own, and she will call you if your absent! Overall had a great time

Still very disorganized and unclear in her lectures; but still just about the nicest teacher you'll ever meet. Yamaga-sensei sincerely cares for her students and bends over backwards to help them succeed in Japanese.
