Comment:

This was the final course I took with Hydell, but I enjoyed all of his classes. As an Economics major, his insight was very helpful and always made analogies that I understood. I recommend him to anyone interested in economics! If you are taking a class with him for a requirement thinking it will be easy, you will be in for a nasty surprise.

Dr. Hydell is a great professor. Yes, this course was a challenge, but quite frankly I have learned a lot and chose to minor in Economics. He keeps a good rapport with his students and is without a doubt, the best professor at Muskingum.

To do well in this class, you must study. You WILL receive an A, if you memorize everything that is on the study guide that he gives you. Hydell is incredibly helpful if you need it and ask for it. I think very highly of this man, but you definitely need to get to know him before you can appreciate him.

Comment:

Hydell is very smart and knows what he's talking about (like someone said -MIT grad). Grades come only from ~3 essay-type tests. Classes nearly all lecturing, but tests come right from notes. Study/know them and you'll do well -it's not terribly difficult. Learn to listen to his lectures, take time to study, and you'll learn a lot about economics.

Comment:

Hydell is an incredibly intelligent MIT grad. He gives long, sometime bland lecture - however, they are very informative and he can really teach you a lot. Tests are long which can make it a little hard, but definitely doable. He is sometimes hard to contact but very helpful when you do. He says things how they are and is really a pretty great guy.

Professor Hydell is great. Hard and too the point but always willing to help. He's great. The person who wrote the poor review about "poor morals" must have not passed the course. It take a lot of hard work, but it is possible. Highly recommend.

He is incredibly intelligent and hard working. His classes are very difficult but you complete the class feeling like you know a lot more than when you started. Tests are hard, lectures are long, but again, a very good teacher. One of Muskingum's Best!

He was one of the hardest profesors I have every had. His tests were all essay and he was so boring you could hardly stay awake to take notes.
