Dr. Abraham is a very caring lady, however the material was difficult to understand. I, along with other students in the class, would ask each other "what are we supposed to be doing?" Another thing was that she did not use canvas and it drove me crazy that I could not check my progress in the class. Overall, she is a sweet person but confusing.

Dr Abraham is a very caring prof. She is hard to understand and kind of rambles in her lectures. The first draft of the paper is often the hardest but she gives extensive re-dos with her direction. Best for a beginner. She tries her best.

I found Dr. Abraham to be confusing, and found myself with an entire class of students who were just as confused as I was. (We started a group text chat which was mostly filled with "So is this what we're supposed to do with the essay?) She had me re-write my essays several times because she didn't like the point I was making.

Absolutely the best professor at LCCC! Had no confidence in my writing skills before this class but now I am full of confidence. You will learn tons plus she is the nicest lady you will meet on campus. The one downside is that she does not upload grades into Canvas.

I absolutely loved this course. I had never looked forward to attending a college class until this one. Although Dr. Abraham lectures for the majority of the class time, she was able to keep my full attention. Subjects that I would have never found interesting Dr. Abraham somehow made interesting. I always left class feeling more knowledgeable.

Professor Abraham does not use Canvas, so you won't know your grade throughout the semester. She is unclear in her grading criteria, her grades are very subjective and she doesn't explain the assignments very well. Class attendance and participation are mandatory. Would not take this class from her again.

This was my second time taking Dr. Abraham's class and I enjoyed it more than the first! She is a phenomenal teacher, passionate about literature, and really caring about her students. She was my favorite teacher at LCCC, and I'm sad I won't be able to take her classes again. If you love literature, this is the class for you!

Her class was very good. She clearly explained everything and gave students (not me) numerous attempts to make things up. She basically said everything that was necessary in each paper. Each topic was gone over in class. The global component made the class more interesting I would take her class again. She is a great teacher to have and cares.

I loved Dr. Abraham! She was helpful, told me what I needed to work on, and was passionate about British Lit. She doesn't enter grades throughout the semester and isn't always clear on what she wants in essays, but allows you to redo essays. If you're looking for an easy English class, don't take this. It requires work and dedication to literature.

Save yourself the hair-pulling trouble and DON'T take this class. Although, it is easy, the lack of clarity and guildlines given to you by Iona are nearly non-existant. She is a nice lady, and she does care about her students but the delivery is just not there, making it a very difficult class when it shouldn't be.

I hated the class. She never explained things clearly enough. She lectured the whole class time so it was very hard for me to retain information. She was flexible on paper due dates and redoing them but I always did them wrong because she was not very good at explaining what to do. Plus i had no interest in what we learned about.

I wish I had known how much I would hate this class before I signed up. While overall it was easy, she lets you redo papers, it was the most boring class. Iona would just drone on about useless information that did not pertain to what we were doing at all and explain the essays six times but not actually say what to write about.

I took her for intro to Shakespeare and she totally ruined him for me. She spent so much time teaching the different ways to analyze his works as opposed to just appreciating them. She is very nice but she just assumes we're all English majors because we're taking such a high level English class, when really I just liked Shakespeare.

Easy class. There were four papers due the whole time. She isn't always clear on what she wants on the assignment but she is willing to let you redo them up to the point of when the next assignment is due. Will meet and help you too, which is nice! I'd suggest her to my fellow students!

Not always clear on what she wants in the papers but lets you redo them. Got a B and I literally did all of my papers same day as due date. Show up and keep the handouts and you'll learn a lot.

She Is agreat teacher, get's off the topic sometimes but is very helpful. She let's you redo your drafts to raise your grade. If you talk to her, attend all the classes and coplete the papers, you should have no problem getting a B. One of the best teachers I've ever had!

Oh Iona...what can I say haha...well it's an easy grade as long as you do your papers and she even lets you turn in a rough draft or just redo them to get an A. There were four papers in my class and she explained how to do them in every class. My class was small and things got kind of repetitive sometimes.
