Worse prof. ever! You cannot understand her at all, does not speak into mic, slides are scattered and make no sense... AVOID HER CLASS AT ALL COST NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!

It was very difficult to understand her accent. Dr. Steinisch is very knowledgable, and the lectures seemed to be very structured and reliant on the varying positions of historians. It is a shame she could not project well and she tended to rush through lectures.

Very strong accent that it is difficult to understand her. She goes very fast through the slide, in which most students are taking pictures of the slides (she does not post them online). Ill admit that she knows her stuff and it is very interesting! But overall she needs to be more clear and has to slow down a bit.

Strong accent, can be understood however. Her lectures are a bit scattered but if you can piece it together, she'll can teach you a lot. Very good lecturer if you can get past some of the small problems

She has a thick accent so its hard to understand her sometimes. Her lectures are a bit scattered, but very informative. dont copy the slides, write down what she says instead. Give her a chance and youll learn a lot from her, once you get over the accent.

So difficult to understand anything she says...she tries her best but its just to difficult. Not very approachable. You will need to rely on your TAs for assistance and understanding. She always talks about Germany even though the course pertains to all of Europe

Accent can be very hard to understand, especially when she doesn't speak properly/loudly into the mic (all the time!). always very excited about what she was going to talk about, but not helpful when you can't understand what she's saying, had to rely on T.A. a LOT to learn anything from this class. learned a lot from TA though!

Although she doesn't have the greatest teaching skills in the world, Prof. Steinisch does try. She's very knowledgeable about her subject, and she's quite a kind woman. She needs to structure her tutorials a bit better.

If you are genuinely interested in German History, take this course and you will not be dissapointed, people who took this course for no purpose, were dissapointed because they did not care for the material, they suffered. If you put in the effort, you will be graded proportionally. DO ALL THE REQUIRED AND SUPPLEMENTARY READINGS!

Evil!!! She's a few decades out of date, and is simply horible. Boring, nasty, and vindictive. If you like German history, she'll change you're mind! Stay FAR away!
