spring2017 was her first time teaching SPA 3713 and she expects undergrads to be as good as graduate students. class is 350 points, 4 quizzes which come from her notes: fill in the blanks, no word bank and T/F. 2 exams, almost 80 Qns, nothing from her notes, you require a textbook that you never use in class. Ps. dont ever take this class with her!

Slides are dense and not provided, lectures are just scribe sessions. Won't use webcourses or post grades. PCs not allowed (I'm paying for this class, I can take notes how I please). Assignments were group, not a clear reflection of my abilities. Knowledgeable but unclear-- DUBIOUS test q wording wo enough internal evidence to answer confidently.

Dr. Schwartz is one of my favorite professors! Her lectures are very organized so you can take good notes. You must come to class! Very fair grading scale and helpful when you talk to her one-on-one. She's a wealth of info so if you have any questions on the material or com dis in general, go to office hours! I'm taking her again this summer.

I really liked Dr. Schwartz! She is very helpful and willing to work with any student. You need to read the book for this class in order to do well on the exams. She mentions the book briefly, but YOU WILL NEED IT. I liked her a lot! Great professor!

Comment:
She has perfected how to teach college students. She is busy but manages to have time for students outside of class. Replies to emails. Read bk chapters before the lecture to do well or you'll be lost. She makes class fun, stress free, and u'l learn soooo much. She seems to really enjoy the students and not make us feel like we're a nuisance.

Calm and easy to listen to. Her tests can be a little tough but if you study you can get an "A" in the class. Be sure to do the readings because she WILL ask a question or two directly from the book. I would definetely taker her again.
