Comment:

T-Bone is an awesome teacher. He gives examples of ideas but lets his students figure things out on their own whenever possible. He wants students to be independent and able to function in the real world instead of babying them along. Labs are fun and his lectures teach a lot. Not too much hw and tests aren't too difficult either.

Although he may seem tough and intimidating at times, he means to push students to leave the class as professional technicians. The assignments (soldering projects) aren't too bad and can be managed by attending the open labs. Some of the material is hard to grasp and he sometimes doesn't really expain how to do certain aspects of the work.

Extremely knowledgable, but really leaves it upon the student to do the work. He will give you enough rope to hang yourself. If you make an effort, it is hard to fail.

He explains things very thoroughly & gives many examples of circuits where he breaks it down to very simple steps & concepts. Really drills the basics. Awesome teacher. I thought I'd never understand this stuff. He really saved me since this is a pre-req. Our class was jammed full twice over & is still very full even at the end of the semester!

This class only seems to survive,because it's a prereq 4 the degree.Yet,my class was almost cancelled due to a lack of enrolled students.Very little teaching occurs.You basically fumble your way through teaching yourself MS Office."T-bone" cares about students,I'll agree with that,but there's more to a college education than caring.
