Comment:

Hated the class but she was very helpful. I learned a lot about how to write. Grading was super harsh but I did end up passing the course and the entry level writing exam. She required four out of class essays and two in class essays. Be prepared for many rough drafts and reading exercises but do know they're very helpful in successful writing.

This professer was kind and tried to help. Very unfair in grading. She never actually tells you what she wants. I went to her office hours every weekend and she was no help. GET OUT NOW, WHILE YOU CAN. Prompts are confusing. I did not learn anything from her class.

she was helpless, she barely explains the prompt for the essays, rarely let us have an open discussion when she said thats the most important thing. all she does is telling the kids to read aloud in class, learn about dont plagiarize. i didnt learn anything from her, and she does not answer your questions either..

she was completely unhelpful and never told anyone exactly how she wanted things, just kept getting marked down. The promts are unclear and she makes changes after already writing the rough draft. I never got higher than a C+ on a paper and I even had a tutor. She too did not even know what to do with the essays.

wonderful teacher! she gives us all relevant information on how to pass the subj A. I took workoad 2times and she was my second wrkload teacher, and because of the strategies she taught in class, i finally passed my subj A. everything she taught in the class was relevant to improve your writing. highly recommended

She is a difficult grader, but in terms of helping you prepare for the Subject A exam, she does a very good job. She is helpful if you need any help. The classroom environment does feel like highschool, but overall I'd recommend her if you want to do well on and pass your subject A.

The environment of the class is not what I expected, giving it a high-schoolish feel to it (which some people like). The overall orientation seems so simple, but when it comes to grades, then it gets really tough. She is really nice,but if you are looking for a class that will feel like college, or don't like working in groups comfortable, not good

Kathy is a great teacher. Her lectures are clear. She made us work hard, but the classroom assignments were always relevant. She knew the assigned stories really well, and that made it a pleasure to learn from her. Fair grader.
