I'm not a complainer but good lord he just needs to retire. He must be like 80. Talks way too much about pretty much nothing; its hard to gather what is important. The book is useless(and expensive). Not sure what he is even looking for on his essay only tests. Extremely boring and attendance is mandatory

BORING. So incredibly boring, you will want to pound your head against a wall. Most people have to take this class though. Don't need the book. Take notes and regurgitate the EXACT info on the tests. Only 2 unexcused absences allowed...yes, welcome back to junior high.

Dr. Gazell is such a sweet man, but lectures are extremely dry. Attendance is 30% of your grade, midterm and final are easy! You just have to rewrite a few points from three different chapters in the book. Overall, I recommend this class because PA will always be boring no matter what, and this teacher makes it easy to succeed.

Do not buy the book unless you don't go to class but attendance is mandatory he takes it at the beginning of class but people usually leave during break. 2 tests not cumulative if you go and stay the entire class right down everything he says and re-write it on the test you will get an A. its boring but worth the grade

The most boring professor I've ever had. If you can take the course with another professor, do it. The class was easy, but I didn't learn anything. Attend each class and take notes on central theme for each chapter. I recorded each course and wrote exactly what he said in class on the exams.

One good thing about this class is no textbook require. Just be sure you go to every class meeting and take lots of notes on the central theme of each chapter. That is what the exam is on. He restates the themes of each chapter. If you do badly on the 1st exam, don't worry, it won't be count but the final will weight heavily.

DON'T Buy the books, just go to class and take good notes. Attendance is a MUST. As long as u go to class you'll be fine. 2 exams, memorize central themes and give an example that was given in class and you'll definately pass with a B.

Nice teacher, but the class is really boring. He takes role, which counts for about 30% of your grade. 2 exams. Straight forward class, don't need the book, just write down what he says. Exams consist of memorization. List the central themes and a few examples. Overall easy!

Easy class. Make sure READ+Write all of the CENTRAL THEME of each chapter. Prof. Gazell will provides it for you but he wants support text from the book , so READ. Class Attendance is CRUCIAL , 30% of the class grade . It help me from a normal B to a A grade. Dont really need to buy newest text book , just buy old edition online and READ it.

This professor is easy. Very dry though...no powerpoints. 2 test in essay format. Out of the chapters covered for the test, you choose three to write about 1 page. Simply, state the central theme of the chapter and support it with examples from the lectures. If you memorize the notes, it's an easy A. But you do need to go to class. TAKE HIM!!!

Class is easy but boring. He seems so nice when you're in class, but I went to his office hours once and he was so mean and grouchy! I don't know what his problem is, maybe 7pm is past his bed time. Overall, it's an easy A.
