Can get boring, but f you're looking for an easy A, then this is it. He's very organized with his lectures and his exams are essay based but if you do the reading for chapters and study the notes, they should be a breeze. There are two 7-8 page written assignments, but they are cookie cutter papers that are so simple to write.

Comment:

Professor Oriolo is super sweet. You can tell he is extremely intelligent and knows his stuff. Lectures are kinda long and boring but make sure to write down the main ideas of what he says. Tests aren't too hard but make sure you glance over the textbook. Gives plenty of extra credit.

Easy A. I didn't buy the textbook but I would recommend getting it because half the test questions come from there. His lectures were really interesting and he's a genuinely nice guy. He's an easy grader and basically saved my GPA. Loved his class and will be taking him again in the future if I can.

Easy class but SUPER SUPER boring. I fell asleep almost every class. You know whats on every test but his take home assignments ( which are 2 papers 6-10 pages) are a pain in the ass. Easy A but there is some work involved.

Professor Oriolo is super nice, really knows his material and is extremely helpful. He lectures so take good notes. A lot of the material is common sense and its very interesting. He gives 4 exams and tells you exactly what will be on there and 2 take home assignments; seem long but super easy. He is a very fair grader and offers easy extra credit!

best teacher ive ever had. was very organized and knew the subject. i took him back to back because i loved his class so much. he gets to know his students which is amazing and genuinely cares about them. he gives you pretty much everything prior to the tests and you write a max of 2 papers. easy, but interesting class! highly recommend!

Friendly guy, lecture based class, but interesting material, very helpful professor, a bit eccentric at first but a really great guy. Big paper at the end, but he helps you thru it. He's an easy teacher, you'll get an A.

Like the other students have said, Professor Oriolo is pretty easy. For Sociology of the Family.. Attend class regularly. Take very good notes. Study the material he gives you prior to the tests and make sure you read the assigned book chapters! The take-home assignments and two papers are easy As! It's a good class to balance off a hectic schedule

I took him for Soc. of the family. Very easy class, 4 exmas in essay form. Gives you all the materical you need to study a week before the exam. The materical is a little too broad, espically in the book. He only uses the book for extra questions on the exams so you do need to buy it. Lectures can be boring but over all he is very easy.

Overall all.. very easy. Gives 4 tests(all essay)and basically gives you the test a week before. Two writing projects which are 4-5 pages. To be honest, he can be quite boring but not the most boring teacher I've had. I would personally take him again.

Take this guys class. He's nice, easy, shows videos, and doesn't get mad if you fall asleep in class, we had a seeing eye dog in our class snoring the whole time and he didn't care. If you pay attention you'll get an A, unless you're a moron. His presentation can be boring but he has a lot to offer.

great guy! take his class! you have to be there for the lectures, or you'll miss a bunch of notes that will be on the tests. the tests are all in essay form. he tells you exactly what they will be though. you have a choice of which ones you want to write, too. EASY A!

DEFINITELY TAKE HIM; He's extremely easy and a very nice person. There are 4 exams (the final is the same amt of material as the other 3) which are 5 or 6 essays and he tells you pretty much the exact question or material you need to know for them. There are 2 papers which are very easy and he grades them more than fairly. Very easy A

such an easy class! lectures are boring and exams are all essay form, but he gives you the questions beforehand and everything comes right from lecture notes. hes extremely helpful. lets you make up exams u missed. Very good class! deffinitley take him for sociology!
