The class is based on his online lectures and work from the textbook. The issue is that there is no way to understand where you stand in the class. I do not recommend taking this class online. He is nice and fairly accessible, but chances are you don't have time to talk to him if you are taking the class online. Get a good group for the project.

Awesome professor. Tests are difficult, so make sure you double-down on studying. Pick a good group, read the book, and don't skip class. Its a tough class, but if you put in the effort, you should pass.

The tests are difficult, be sure to consult him during office hours or via email. He is quick to reply. The group project isn't that hard, but learn SPSS well the weeks before.

He's a good marketing professor, his lectures are essentially whats on the test. You dont need the actual textbook, but he has a coursepack with all the powerpoint slides and inclass problems which you'll use every class. The coursepack makes it easier to review for exams. 1 midterm, non comprehensive final. Group project was easy tough grader tho

Highly recommend Professor Granitz! His class is straight forward and his expectations are very clear. He's a critical grader but it helps you learn. He always makes sure you're prepared for his exams; he provides study guides, practice questions, and examples. There's group projects with one team all semester long so make sure you pick a group.

Granitz is a critical grader but learn from his feedback! He is very responsive to emails and his lectures are short and straight to the point! A few participation discussions, few group projects, and 1 midterm and final. Tests are rather difficult so do well on everything else! Would take again!

Solid online class. Granitz was really organized in each of the weeks. Due dates were clear. His grading was reasonable, but tough. Lectures were posted online. Had to go to campus for 2 tests and orientation. Pick a good group on orientation or else you'll have a hard time. There were 3 group assignments. Two smaller ones and then a big one.

Online class was very well organized and he responds quickly if you need help. First class meeting you create your team which you coordinate with throughout the entire semester. One discussion board assignment a week that takes maybe 10 minutes. Participate on discussion board, pick a good group, & study for the exam and you will be fine.

His online class was very organized and easy to follow with. Prof. Granitz knows his subject and he makes it easy for you to learn. Everything was ready for you - coursepack is a must! Get in a good group for the projects. I liked his clarity, organization, and the test material was based on what you were actually taught. Inconceivable! :)

It can really can hurt ones GPA, since he does not do plus or minus grades.I have taken him for both MKTG 379 and MKTG 455. His PowerPoints for MKTG 455 don't have enough information to study from for exams and the study guides aren't that clear, so I'd recommend reading the book. Id only recommend him for MKTG 379.

Granitz is an interesting guy. He's knowledgeable on the internet marketing industry and represents the material with interest, but lacks the real world application. Exams are slightly subjective and the projects were enormously underutilized in regard to the overall purpose of making a company. Started with motivation. Ended with disappointment :(

Took this class online. Big props to the professor for putting in a lot of work on his end in running the class. Too many professors just don't care enough. He is very knowledgeable in the subject. The class is not easy but doable IF you put in your share of work. Group project will kill you if you don't have a good group. Overall great professor.

He is a good professor with a solid understanding of what he is teaching. I learned a lot in his class and actually liked the load of weekly assignments, class works, projects and presentation.what I did not like was that he seemed a bit distracted and not focused. he goes over the material in brief and leaves the rest to U to explore/understand?!

Prof. Neil is not an easy prof at all, but if you put in your effort, you could earn an A for sure. The group project played a big part in your grade so make sure to choose a good group and keep up on writing the final report. Textbook was not need. Final was hard, so you better start studying early, he gave out study guide for mid-term and final.

Time goes by so fast in this class - I can't believe when it is time for class to be over. It is pretty easy to get a B or C in the class - as long as you do the work. It is extremely hard to get an A. If you disagree with any of your grades, he allows you to write a memo and if you make a good point, he will change your grade.

He either likes you or doesn't. I scored lower on participation scores than those who didn't partipate at all. Made no sense. Like I said, his grades are biased.
