Comment:

Mr Wans stats class was beyond easy! It especially helped that i also took his Math 12 class as a co-requisite. He gives study guides that look exactly like the exams and explains the math perfectly. He also drops your lowest exam grade. Take his class!

Took math 120 over spring and he was a good teacher, graded fairly and was fair, although you dont know your grade till the very end and too much homework.

His practice tests are similar to his actual tests however his lecture style did not help me learn because he just explains but I learn better when steps are given to me like a list. He tends to get a little messy with his notes on the board but if you can learn like that then you can do it. You also have to figure out your own grade.

Comment:

Mr. Wan was a great teacher. Personally, I didnt think he was boring at all. He teaches VERY well and explains EVERYTHING. But make sure to show up! Missing a day or two can get you lost. Tests are just like the homework so make sure to get that done on time. Pop quizzes are extra credit and dont hurt your grade.

I took this class over the summer last year. At the beginning of each class he did many homework questions. He drops one exam. His explanations were clear and thorough and showed every little step. His tests were easy, reasonable, and simply check whether you know the material. Final was easy and multiple choice.

This teacher was boring and didn't seem interested in teaching. Not enthusiastic at all. Read straight out of the book. Does not teach well, Does not explain things thoroughly. Everyone was having a hard time. You can not leave early at all or he will count you absent. I ended dropping his class. Not worth my time. Oh and he does pop quizzes too.

This guy will do what hes suppose to be doing in the class;teach. His tests are SUPER EASY. The final is just studying off of past tests(some questions have same numbers) He's great dude and hes actually quite funny even though he's not trying to be. I know PLENTY more profs that are worse than him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND him

He does have an accent, but it's understandable. Take notes! All 4 exams + the final are based off the notes. He always has a review before the exams which are very helpful. Also, dont miss class, and get alteast 1/3 of the online homework done if you dont mind passing with a B or C.

Statistics was a hard class, Professor Wan would teach us one thing in the notes and then the homework would be 10x harder and complicated, the only good thing about him is that he lets us use more than one page of notes , but other than that the tests were way harder than the notes but if you do all the homework you'll be fine. good luck.

I'm sure he means well, but.... Thick accent makes him hard to understand, told our class he "didn't have time to teach us to use the calculator". Tests are the hardest possible questions, and all you do in class is copy his notes from the board, so when you leave you're totally lost. Take Alma Castro at Fullerton. She is AMAZING!

i took math 120 in spring 2014 i think he is easy. even his lectures are kinda confusing (statistic is confusing itself) he makes it simple enough for us to solve the problems. he gives a lot of homework, as long as you're able to do the homework, exams are nothing. 4exams are easier than problems in the book. he does have a review before the exam

This teacher was so hard! He has a thick Chinese accent, doesn't make any sense, you need to bring a 5 pound textbook to class everyday and you take novels of note! AND he goes really fast. DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. PROFESSOR!!!!!

Dr. Wan is a great teacher and deserves higher ratings than he has here. He's VERY fair with the way he grades tests, gets the tests back the next day, drops the A to 88% if your attendance/homework is good and lets you use note cards (depends on class) for the tests/final. Yeah he's not warm and friendly, but he's not mean and totally good dude.

Dr.Wan explains the problem in details.Homework he gives out is time consuming but it prep you for the test. He explains the problems before the test. If you not good with test or quiz.. just do all your homework and he give u a fair grade and also have good attendance. The final is VERY EASY. All you gotta do is study on ur last exams he gave you.

Attendance is mandatory. Good attendance though and A requirement is dropped to 88%. Let's face it-math is boring. He does an incredibly great job at explaining everything tho [and answers whatever questions u have]. I would have been lost without his lecture. Class consists of few quizzes/tests - screw up on one and your grade is very affected.
