Comment:

The reason I say get ready to read is because I feel like we covered alot of material and it was someone fast paced. If you don't read or study you will have a difficult time passing this class, that is if you do. You need to study in this class as well. There are some extra credit opportunities but those also require effort. I enjoyed it.

Makes you actually learn the material, he wont hand things to you, and for that i respect him. However, he is very arrogant and expects everyone to be at the same level of knowledge as he is. He explains things as if we should know them already. DO THE OBJECTIVES to pass tests!!!

He is very passionate about his subject. Can take his time in grading assignments. Modules have a lot of content and homework to each one. Although he gives study guides for the in person exam, there were many unexpected questions so be sure to know the material from the testable chapters.

Dr. Yount is an excellent professor. Granted it's not an easy A class, you have to work for your grade. From what I've seen most students taking his classes are pursuing areas in the field of medicine Nursing/Med school gets much harder. His class prepares you for exactly that. Take notes. Listen carefully to lectures. Do. The. Objectives!!

No professor is perfect. Do you want to learn? Dr. Yount delivers. I received the education I paid for. I also received 4 A's and 1 B for my efforts. I am a bio major due to this man's enthusiasm for biology and the life sciences. Attend lectures, follow the syllabus and outline your objectives and study, study, study! No high school attitude here!

I was very dissapointed in this class. He is VERY intelligent, i think too intelligent to be teaching at a community college. He talks about himself alot, don't ask any questions because all questions are stupid. I definitely will NEVER take another class with him because he is inconsiderate and mean, in my opinion

Yount is excellent. He gives a study guide and a 10% bonus on tests for showing up on the right day. His lectures clearly explained difficult areas. Pay attention to him when he talks!!! He's rather snarky, which was funny, but you'll want to be thick-skinned--especially if you're conservative or religious as there's a definite liberal tone.

I earned an A in this class however, I will never take another class with Yount again. The work load is excessive and he does not behave in a professional manner. Don't waste your time on him. There are plenty of options. I am a straight A student and am not willing to waste my time with his lack of respect. He is not worth the time or effort.

Pretty hard class keep up on your studying and your labs!! Gets off topic alot but overall decent teacher!! but very hard class...his office is always open. He is always willing for questions, but sometimes will roll his eyes at your stupid ones!! all i have to say is good luck.

I did not enjoy this class. Dr. Yount is a very smart teacher, but he is sometimes hard to understand. When a person asks a question, he kind of makes that person feel stupid...and I'm a person who asks questions if I do not understand something. His tests are pretty hard, there is a lot to study for. He is a nice guy though.

TONS of experience. He is very helpful and knows what he is talking about. The classes themselves can be difficult, but if you are taking them in the first place (i.e. A&P to get into nursing) you should expect that. He makes it as easy as possible, and his tests are fair. Also you get 10% e.c. on the tests for merely taking them on the day they are given.

Dr. Yount is best teacher at the school. He is enthusiastic, helpful, and uses great analogies to help you remember concepts. I knew it would be a great class when he said to think of the phospholipid bilayer as an Oreo cookie. Thanks Dr. Y!
