Professor Smith is the most helpful professor you could find. She is a tough grader but only because she wants you to be successful & to do it right. There are many opportunities to get extra credit. She is enthusiastic about the course & is very insightful.

Professor Smith is my favorite professor ever! She was a tough grader but only because she really cares about you and wants you to succeed. Here's the deal guys, you will have to write an essay in nearly every single course you take. Learn to do it right. She offers so much extra credit. If you want an "A" there is no reason you can't get one.

I really enjoyed Prof Smith's class. There is a group film project and a few creative assignments that require some soul searching (if you take it seriously). Attendance is vital especially when it comes to the research paper. Half the course grade is the paper; if you don't complete that you don't pass. She pushes you to bring out the best in you.

Smith is very straight forward. As a first time freshmen I took B1a and got an A. You have to really work for it. She gives a lot of packets with questions you answer, pretty easy. Get ready to learn about Joseph Campbell. Show up every class and 100 pts ec. Tough grader, but prepares you for any other English classes. She stays after class for ?'s

Expect to type and print everything she hands out. Even simple questions she hands you. She expects everything to be in MLA heading and she is unorganized. She'll write one thing on your paper and when you correct it she'll write something else. Highly suggest someone else unless you want to be writing essays every week.

Her way or the highway. Ask as many questions as possible about assignments before completing and turning them in. Even if something is not written on the assignment sheet, always ask if the assignment requires it. She expects you to know the basics of what you are in her class to learn. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities.

SO MUCH HOMEWORK! We studied the Hero's Journey, & I mean that is all we studied. I got an A, but worked so hard for it. I fell SO far behind on my online math class because of all of the work & essays that were assigned! During her lectures, she makes you feel stupid if you don't know the answer. She treats you like high school students-annoying.

English has never been my best subject. I was dreading taking this class because I heard how difficult and demanding 1a can be, Mrs. Smith did not disappoint. Toughest class I have taken thus far, BUT would not have taken with anyone else. She brings the best out of you & demands your best. Course subject was interesting, helps you along the way. A

I really enjoyed taking B1a with her. Janeen is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Sure she might give you a fair amount of work but it wasent over the top by any means. As long as you are faithful to class and turn in your homework on time you will do great. If you have the chance to take her class, DO IT!

She gives ALOT of work!! She is a cool lady and all that but gives so much work!!! My class had less then half the people by the end of the semester. The subject is a lil confusing but she pounds it in your head so the 12 page paper is a breeze... Alot of work!!

The teacher was a bit rude, especially when you ask her a question. Rather then answering she just tells you to drop her class and go to the one before it. Hardly there for the entire period, usually leaves you paperwork or a movie and takes off. Very unfriendly and obviously doesnt like her job or at least dealing with students who are learning

I the beginning of this class, I lost my sister to H1N1. I really wanted to drop, but that would be me refusing my call. Get to know the subject (its very interesting). She gives a lot of good outside advice, and she assists her students tremendously. Awesome teacher, and great passion for her subject. I highly recommend her for English B1A.
