I took both basic and advanced scuba with LT back in 2013. Thus far, these two classes were the highlight of my CSUF career. Take his scuba classes! You will meet great friends, have tons of fun, and have the pleasure of being taught by LT himself. He's a great character who makes the course highly enjoyable. Study and have fun!

LT (don't call him Professor) is an amazing teacher who will take the time to help you if you're struggling. All of his helpers will help you with scuba skills, and are the guides on boat dives. DON'T lose your buddy, in pool or ocean. Scuba can be deadly, but LT really prepares you for safety and emergencies. Take this class, you won't regret it.

Prof. Abbott is an AWESOME scuba instructor--patient, and has a way of explaining the material so that complex material becomes understandable. Scuba=much more difficult than i first imagined, so prepare for extensive new knowledge. Also, allow a break before and after this class. Pool days make it difficult to leave on time.

Best class EVER taken. You get to know your classmates and teacher at a personal level. GREAT environment to meet new people and make some wonderful friends. Definitely learned a lot from this class. You need to put in the time to get out and get experience on dive boats. DO IT!!! But you will love every moment. LT... You rock!

LT makes this class an extremely memorable experience. Best classes I took at CSUF! He is so knowledgeable about diving and shares his personal experiences along with the material. The costs in this class are totally worth it! If you are wanting to get certified LT is the one to do it with!!!

Greatest class ever! Periodic HW and quizzes (easy-- as LT says, designed for a 15 yr old), harder final. Practice w/gear in the pool, then you get to boat dive off Catalina, beach dive in Laguna, etc. Keep in mind you have to buy/rent equipment and pay boat fees. Also, having a break before & after class makes life easier on pool days.

LT (as we call him) is by far the best instructor to teach a class like this. He is very patient, helpful, and you will learn far more in this class than anywhere else. He is fair, extremely knowledgeable, willing to help anyone, and he is simply a fun guy to be around. The final can be difficult- but only if you did not study for it.

3 units to become certified. Abbott is layed back and funny; he really enjoys what he is doing. It costs 40 dollars a month to rent the equipment, yet this class costs 300-400 dollars at any other place. You have to take this!

Larry is an awesome guy and knows a lot about scuba diving and all the sea critters. Just watch out for the final exam. No one passes. There was only one A given to the class. But I'm still going diving with Larry this summer.
