Comment:

I personally loved Mishkin. All you have to do is write down a few things that she talks about in the PowerPoint slides. Shes gives study guides and a lot of extra credit opportunities, and is willing to help you if you need it. As long as you give her respect she will like you.

Comment:

Gives way too many notes to process for just a 25 question exam. Gives 4 exams and is not very specific with the material that is on it. She gives a study guide but does not follow it very well. Hard grader, have to be specific if you want credit. She is not an easy professor.

You won't find a better Professor whose lectures are engaging as they are informative. I've had several classes with Professor Mishkin, and can't say enough as to how great her teaching style is. She's amazing!

I had her for World History to 1500 and she basically just stands up there and reads off her powerpoint. She's kind of a boring professor but if you pay attention and use the study guides she makes you'll be fine. Her tests have a lot of true/false and fill in the blank but overall she's a pretty okay professor

Comment:

Fell asleep or watched Netflix in every class. Couldn't get wifi in the room. Very old and monotone lecturer. The tests were easy because it's about history we've been learning forever.

Tests were very tough and there were only three along with 2 writing assignments. Not much room for improvement after doing terribly on a test. Very sweet woman but not a great professor.

Bore fest. She just talks and talks barely follows the slides right, doesn't follow the book at all. The study guides are pointless. Im bad at history but this class was horrible. shes confusing and the tests are very hard and detailed and pretty much impossible.

Professor Mishkin is very intelligent and such a nice lady. Sometimes class drags on with her powerpoint slides but nothing in the class is overly difficult. Study the review sheet words and themes and it's not too difficult to get an A.

If you do not like history dont take this class. I hate history and im bad at it and this class just does not work for me. Her classes are boring and she's all over the place with her powerpoints. She doesn't follow the book. The tests are okay but this class is not a good time. I would try to take something else or someone else .

Professor Mishkin is very knowledgeable. Some would say she is boring, and it might be to them, but I found it very interesting (history major). She is one of my favorite professors. Very nice lady.

It's the standard gen ed course. Go to thelecture, take test. 3 tests and 3 in class essays. Print out the PowerPoints, follow along with the lectures and put in some studying before the test and you'll do fine. Her tests are a little tricky but she offers extra credit which helps a lot. You'll need to put in some effort to get an A.

These lectures will put you to sleep. Make sure you read the powerpoints and try to listen to her lectures. Exams require a background knowledge on the times(era). Looks like she'd be a pretty cool grandma

Boring!!! Some questions on the exams were not discussed prior. She allowed extra credit on the exams by correcting false statements which was very helpful. She will help if your grade is suffering.

Dr. Mishkin is awesome!! she's so easy and nice and she's willing to make accomodations to people who really need them. She really wants students to get good grades and she makes that possible. One thing of advice don't take notes just listen to everything she says it will help with understanding the concepts. The powerpoints will be given on D2L.

She's extremely nice and helpful. Read the chapters, come to class, and do the essay's and you should be fine. Can be boring sometimes, depending on what you're interest is in, but she knows what she's talking about and explains it wonderfully!
