Comment:

Dr. Sorsby is the easiest professor at CSU Chico. I got 100% on every single assignment turned in (there were only 3). While this class is long, it is so worth it for the easy A. She is also super friendly and approachable and easy to understand. She sometimes can be unclear with her assignments, and repetitive with her lectures but so worth it.

Comment:

Sorsby is nice enough and the class is easy, but it's very difficult to learn any new material from her. Nearly every class, the entire lecture is just her bringing up online assignments (that she already assigned as homework) and then having the class do it. It gets very repetitive. I love French, but she manages to make me dread the class.

Comment:

Sorsby is a sweet & interesting lady. Interesting content, easy to do well in the class IF: you attend class, participate a little each week, turn in all assignments, and pay attention. The papers aren't hard, nor are the tests. Essay answer w/ questions given ahead of time. Attendance is key. I enjoyed the class, highly recommend.

Comment:

Easiest and sweetest teacher I've had so far. Love her, so sweet and always willing to help. Talk to her after class and your guaranteed to pass her class. She also gives an extra credit oppurtunity

Mme Sorsby is a good teacher overall and seems to be fairly helpful. She's very "do it yourself" when it comes to the class. Her French is flawless, but you'll learn nothing unless you read the book. For attendance, she does a sign in sheet for the first few weeks.

Yes, she's very nice and VERY EASY, but you won't learn anything. She gets flustered constantly and is easily confused. She would tell us on Tues that we had an exam on Thur. Exams are easy if you show up to class and stay awake. She doesn't take attendance but you might miss out on an exam announcement. She's disorganized and sets low standards.

I have been in French for six years and I have never had a teacher who moved so slowly! I am way beyond this class, but she wasn't very "easy" because she was a little unclear. Her syllabus says we are only to speak French, but she speaks a lot of English. and when she does speak French, they are very basic words.

I've taken several of her classes and she has a great love for the subject. Her biggest problem with students is when they don't participate. She expects students to be prepared for class.. Hell, I never was but coupld fake it. So, if you already speak French you'll do really well in her classes.

Very informative class. She taught the class in French and is dependent on the text-YOU USE YOUR TEXTBOOK EVERY CLASS! Very approachable during office hours, study for tests-they're multy faseted-and class participation is VERY IMPORTANT, you must talk to get a good grade in the class

Mme Sorsby is a great woman. She is very funny and has a great grasp of the French culture. I thouroughly enjoy her classes and I find them quite easy to follow. She is very friendly and open. If you have any questions at all, her office hours are the BEST. Very entertaining

If you've never taken French before i don't recommend her class. In my class i was the only one who had never taken French in high school and i felt way behind. But very nice lady and pretty easy class if you have a French background.

A wonderful French teacher, taught me a lot in a semester and I would definately recommend her class!!
