Comment:

The best professor I've ever had. He took a personal interest in how we did in the class and wouldn't stop until we all understood everything. He wants you to succeed and takes his own time to make sure you do. Class conversations were awesome and knew the answers to even the most off-the-wall questions. He's not at CWI anymore, unfortunately.

Comment:

Jeff was by far the BEST teacher I've ever had. He's witty, engaging and tries his hardest to get everyone involved even in a 7am class! You have to read the material to pass the tests, but he gives little hints here and there if you know where to look. I'm really bummed he won't be at CWI anymore because I'd take all his classes.

I took this class at the CWI campus. He comes across very intimidating at first. DO NOT let it scare you away. I almost did. It quickly becomes apparent that Jeff is very passionate and knowledgeable about history. He does a superior job making History entertaining and students become passionate along with him. Highly recommend him!

I've taken two of Jeff's classes and loved them, I'd take another from him anytime. He is intimidating at first, but don't let it both you, in reality he's a nice guy and an amazing prof. I've taken a lot of history at BSU and he's by far the most interesting and passionate instructor so far. Pay attention, read and don't get your undies in a bunch

Jeff is a great Prof but you have to do the work. He is a very fair grader as well but you must read the material and attend class. I have taken 3 classes from him and got all A's but I had to work for it. I learned a lot from his classes and would recommend him for anyone who is interested in history. He likes students to be engaged in the class.

Jeff is a great teacher adn I guarantee that you will learn quite a bit from him. It is an absolute must that you attend his class adn do the required reading(be ready to discuss the reading) He can be intimidating at first but just hang inthere and don't be afraid to ask questions. I have had him twice and would do it again. (HIST 111,112 )

You must read the required text, he will expect you to discuss in class. Your only grades come from exams which are essay based. He will want to know the political stuff, the other is just fluff/filler. Study groups work great, got C on first exam and A's on the second two. He's tough and a bit rude/crass but TOTALLY intersting. I'd take again.

I had Jeff two semesters in a row and I can honestly say I learned more from him than any other teacher I have ever had. Yes he is arrogant. Yes he can be harsh and rude. But if you can get past that (and I think its an act mostly), you will find him to be one of the most amazing people. He KNOWS his stuff! READ and go to class!

Best teacher I've had at BSU thus far. Really tries to make it interesting. If you can't take a joke you'll probably end up hating the guy. As long as you go to class and keep up with the readings you're more than likely to pass the class.

The first Class was really daunting, i thought i was going to fail. If you do the readings show up and participate in class. He ends up being a very fair with Grading tests and papers. Plus he is funny- in a history way.

Without a doubt the best class I've ever taken. It's about as demanding as you make it. If you attend class and do all work he'll make sure you pass, but this is really a class to put effort into. If you do you get SO much out of it. I found tests difficult (written, not on the computer, essays, matching, short answer). But papers are graded easy

Never thought history could be so interesting and riveting. A passionate, funny, unconventional teacher who will open your eyes and make you think. Challenging class but you will get more than your money's worth.

Jeff is by far one of the most interesting teachers I have had. Don't take this class if you don't want to challenge conventional notions, or if you are uncomfortable with class participation. Both of these are important to this class. Test are mix of essays and multiple choice and matching. Extremely fun teacher, makes history applicable to today!
