Awesome teacher. Her class can be hard or easy depending on how much you are willing to research and read the texts. I believe that she is a fair grader-good work=good grades, sloppy work= lower grades. I really enjoyed her class-it's fun and pretty informal. There are a lot of power points, movies and class activities which were all helpful.

Not a hard course if you do all of the work. It is not an EASY a, you do have to keep up with the assingments. PERFECT class if you really want to be an event coordinator! you LEARN ALOT!!

if you want to do well, you really need to work. don't expect to be handed an A, but if you want to be an event planner this class is extremely useful. she is nice and always willing to help. everyone complains about how much work there is but it makes it easier to redeem yourself if you did poorly on something else.

AWFUL. I could not stand this class, and I love event planning. She just got under my skin. I litterally felt like I was back in highschool, with all the stupid inclass assignments/ excercises. They way she grades is terrible. The individual and group assignment for this class is rediculous. The majority of the class failed the midterm.

this teacher is just simply annoying. she gets mad about extra work.. a project that took you 3 weeks to do she will read for one minute and give you a C. I had a 89.4 and she wouldnt give me the A. she is cold and rude and her class couldnt be more boring and dont ask questions because she hates to be bothered.

Prof Galipeau is by far one of the most fantastic teachers out there for students who actually wanna learn something! All of the students who complain are those who want a freebie. She knows her stuff and is BEYOND fair in her grading, expects a lot but gives just as much. I wish more teachers could have her passion. Take her if you want to learn!!

She was worst teacher/experience I have had before. I was interested in Events before taking her class. However, her material and class structure was boring and leanred absolutely nothing about the industry...I learned how to sleep better. On top of that she is heartless and shows no compassion for people with tragedies.

Great interesting class. Learned alot. She knows what shes talking about and knows how to make class fun. lots of films which are entertaining and help put topics into perspective. super nice and able to laugh at herself. the tests are a little tricky. not too hard, you just need to study both the notes and txt bk. otherwise, great teacher!!

all she does is powerpoint presentations, and shows videos, is that what i pay money for?? grading system is weird, sometimes you get a good grade for poor work and poor grades for good work. if you have a choice, dont take her. she is pretty easy going but learning factor is low

Galipeau is the best teacher that I've had a JWU. She is extremely nice and really knows what shes talking about. I have learned more from her than i've learned in all my other classes and I love how you can talk to her so easily. Theres a lot of work but there should be its college and if you keep up you'll do fine. I wush I could have her again..
