Van Tassel is a horrible teacher. He doesn't like questions, & is lazy as can be. If u ask him your grade he will say 90+ A, 80+B, 70+C, and he doesn't post anything til finals are over. His lab class is worse. Easy A bcus he gives u the answers to the tests, but u will not learn anything apart from his life. its a waste of your time & $.

Sorry Dr. Van Tassel, but your online classes are extremely confusing to the students.And you seem annoyed when asked questions.I understand you have to answer the same ones a lot, but that's part of teaching.Course materials are expensive.No one is sure what is happening in the classes. Syllabus is awful!Pages and pages of repetitive nonsense!

Takes forever for him to reply email. He is probably the easiest teacher ever in my life. It's more like a self taught class, I didn't learn anything from him, it was all from the books. Books are expensive too. Take this class if you want an easy A!

spends class time telling personal stories. he is does not care about his student or their education. he only cares about himself and his stories. ya his class is an easy A if you read the book and teach yourself. but as for him he does not teach one single thing. he is a bored old man that teaches so he can tell stories and hear himself talk

These Online course's are fairly easy if you are willing to teach yourself. Basically you just have to read the book and you should be able to get a good grade in the classes. I learned alot from these courses about the different software packages. Highly recommend this teacher. Also if you need any assistance the instructor would email back fast.

The only thing you learn from him is patience. He talks all day about himself and his daughter. VERY easy exams and 90% of the people ace his test. WAY too easy.

It's really hard to receive anything below B in this class unless you really don't do anything. HW is easy, test is easy, the paper assignment isn't hard either. He seems busy so he doesn't really respond or make any announcement on regular basis, you have to really be on your own and remember the test date.

He make things easy for you. Just do your work, be respectful, and be professional. If you do all of that you will get an easy A. I like this guy, all of the other people that complain about his teaching style need to grow up and do things on there own, not always rely on the professor to help them with everything. His online class is easy if arithmetic is easy for you. You basically teach yourself. You don't need the textbook. Just buy an older edition for $5 to use as a cheatsheet for homework and exams. The only thing you need to pay thru the nose is the online access.

Great professor. And he is a professor. If you want to get the best grades and be given as many chances as possible Dr. Van Tassel will work with you to get it. One of the best instructors I have ever had, and he speaks clearly, without a heavy accent.

If you want easy A then show up to class and do your assigned review questions. He grades EASY and all exams are OPEN BOOK. People who do not like his class couldn't tolerate his chatty personality... I dont mind as long as I get an A. He's very smart, just dont talk when he's talking!!

Great teacher. Talks a lot about everything. Loves, loves, loves to talk! He gets easily distracted, so don't talk if he's talking. You would actually have to make an effort to fail this class because it's that easy. Exams are open notes/book. Most of class time is often spent working in groups and doing presentations.

Horrible Teacher. If other classes are full wait for next semester don't take his class.If you see his explaination in his Angle Site,sure he is not doing well he need a rest from his teaching.He has no respect for students.One student had a problem with some issue,so he send email to Prof,and then Prof send us an email to embarase that student.

TERRIBLE teacher!!! Does not stay focused on course content. Has a personal story for every 5 words spoken. He definitely likes to hear himself talk! Class felt like a complete waste of time! He seemed more concerned with talking about himself and having us make friends with each other than teaching anything! Treats us like children!!

The worst teacher i have ever taken. He is not helpful, asked him question and you will see. This is an online class and he acted like we're in LAW school. The book is over $200, way too much for a community college student, we're poor! He talks down on people and give no one respect but himself. He called himself a "one son of a biacht!"
