MsSisk is one of those professors that is very passionate about her job and the students that she teaches. Coming to class and participating in class discussions with meaningful input is really all it takes to pass her class along with community service. You get a chance to revise all papers at the end of the course so don't stress!

An absolutely amazing professor that cares about her students. Anyone who didn't give her a a good score just didn't go to class! I only missed 2 days and it showed in my grade, participation also matters. She gives good feedback on papers when you go to her office hours and is extremely helpful and just a sweet lady.

I took her Global Understanding class, and she was incredibly nice and flexible. The only thing is you cannot miss class. Not even one. Or your grade will tank.

Professor Sisk is a very sweet woman. She is very caring to the student who are committed to putting effort into her class. She is excited to see students succeed and provides help in an effort to see that happen. Her ENGL1100 is just writing papers that coalesce with a main topic. Overall, great class and a great human being.

Talk about a GEM! This woman is amazing. She is by far one of the BEST professors at ECU. Her class was amazing and any of the negative comments that you read are probably from students who put in little to no effort. I took her for several classes and had a BLAST. She is sweet and you can tell how much she loves her students.

Sick is definitely a TOUGH grader & makes you work hard for a good grade like everyone says. you mainly just write papers the whole semester, she doesn't really "teach" like a typical professor, attendance is MANDATORY she counts off your FINAL grade for missing class, 10 service hours required. Other than that she is nice & tries to work with you

DO NOT TAKE HER! I am a pretty good writer and she never gave me higher than a mid B on my papers. She is really nice and tries to help you as much as possible but her class requires way too much. You have to complete 10 hours of volunteer work and write two papers on it. DO NOT TAKE HER

Dr. Sisk is a very nice lady and cares a lot about her students. Shes a tough grader and gives little feedback but if you go to her office hours she will help you. You do have to do 10 hours of community service but she she gives plenty of time to complete it. She also allowed us to do a bake sale to make up for an hours we didnt get done.

Jennifer Sisk is a loving cat woman. She has a good heart and shows it when it comes to her students. She will extend a helping hand if you need it. Don't take her english classes is you do not want to do volunteer work (a 10 hour minimum requirement) throughout the semester.

In this class you have to write many papers and complete 10 volunteer hours on your own time. She doesn't give that specific feedback and leaves you hanging not really knowing what to do. If you are not the best at writing this class will be very hard. You do have a chance to revise your papers at the end but again she doesn't give much feedback.

Mrs. Sisk is so nice and caring. She, however, doesn't explain assignments well and often doesn't know how to answer questions. I do recommend this class because she is nice and the volunteer hours we are required is a nice way to start college.

She is a great teacher. She requires service learning as a part of a grade (not hard). She gives good feedback and is so helpful if you go to her and ask for help. Her work challenges you in a good way. 10/10 would recommend for a great ENGL1100 teacher.

Dr. Sisk is amazing! I would definitely take her class again if I could. I was in her service learning class and we have to volunteer 10 hours. She really makes sure you are volunteering with an organization you enjoy. You will not have to read books, only write papers. She is so helpful during office hours and she is committed to helping you!

Very good professor at the beginning. All her papers were spaced out and she gave you enough time to complete them. It wasn't until around the last month of the semester that things started piling on and she seemed to be all over the place. I asked questions about past papers and she couldn't give me a reason for her grading. Nice but quirky.

Shes a sweet, caring teacher that is more than willing to take time out of her day to help you. there are quite a few papers but she spaces them out so you arent overwhelmed. I wouldnt recommend this class to someone who doesnt have a car because she requires at least 10 hours of community service which is used for papers that you will write

The instructions for the assignments that she gives are not clear AT ALL. She takes centuries to grade a single paper and expects so much of you. She is a tough grader. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO TAKE HER AT ALL. Overall bad professor.

This class wasn't hard whatsoever. However, I wouldn't necessarily say it's an easy A because she grades pretty heavy. There's a few papers throughout the entire semester, but she takes a long time to grade and she's not specific when it comes to feedback on those papers. If you don't have a car or a buddy system, don't take this class.
