Comment:

Had Dr. Rakowski years ago for history and poli-sci. His "interesting stories" are amazing anecdotes from his very interesting life. He grew up in the Ukraine during WWII when his home town passed between Nazi and Soviet possession. Has intimate knowledge of how those political systems work in real life. I'll never forget those classes.

Took him for a TV course, and it was great. All he did was take the exact questions from the publisher's study guide and put them on the test. When you see him on test day he'll ramble on for awhile about this test and the next test - DO NOT pay attention! Use that time to review. Simply pay the extra money and buy the study guide for an easy A.

this class was terrible!!! he jumped around ... barely taught anything.... class was pointless ..told we were going to have 8 tests but had 3 ...and our 4th test on finals ( a test and our final)!!!.... i wouldnt take with class with him if someone would have told me about him!!!

I thought his class was hard. Part of it was I could not understand him, coupled with lots of reading. I had to drop his class and so did my two friends, (so it wasnt just me).

He is a very good professor-- extremely entertaining! He knows how to make his students laugh during his lectures. His views on subjects were always very interesting. An excellent professor! (He was awesome in using audio/visual technology.) ;)

took the class via cable, the four times i went in for tests, he was very good at explaining things about the next test, i enjoyed going to take the tests and finding out about what will be on the next test rather than finding out for myself, somewhat confusing speech, but does make it very clear
