I really enjoyed this class. Burger knew what he was talking about and while we did have a lot of little papers they were easy to finish quickly and they were graded as pass, not pass. His multiple choice tests are tricky for some people, but if you like MC their fine. Overall I enjoyed him as a teacher

Tough tough test grader, hilarious and entertaining lectures that convince you not to miss class even though he doesn't take attendance(that plus the fact that his tests draw from the lecture as well), term paper was incredibly challenging but thought-provoking. Overall a strict but caring prof!

Burger pretends to be a chill teacher and an easy grader when in reality he is egotistical and very very into himself and his own research. He is condescending and will tell you he doesn't like to even give grades, but at the end of the quarter you will find he finds every way to lower your grade. His tests do not reflect the class or the book.

Easy class, but the entire course consist of 100 points, meaning if you want an A, you have no room for error. Attendance = 16%, Literature Review = 40%, Experiment Report = 25%, Oral Presentation = 5%, Brief Writing Assignments = 14%. Grades very easily, but thoroughly. Loves teasing his students - in a good way. Among the best PSYC profs @ SCU.

Great professor, but he thinks very highly of himself. He never hesitates to talk about himself i.e. why he is right about something in the psychology community or coined a term first. I recommend using the online practice tests before the exams.

He is one of the best professors I've had. His lectures are interesting & very organized. He lets the class take the personality inventories he teaches about to make the information relevant to the students. The papers are pass/fail, & the exams are tough, but he's a fair grader. He occasionally made sweeping generalizations about genders though.

I can't think of another Professor I would rate higher than him. He is by far the best psych teacher at this school. Ignore any negative, iditiot's comment on here about Burger. He is, without doubt, one of the best professors I have ever had.

Not the easiest class, but very useful. Burger is a fantastic teacher, who will bring the material to life and help you relate it to how people behave in the real world. The man wrote the textbook so you know he knows his stuff. He expects a lot from you, but it is well worth it.

Grades WAY too hard on exams. Expects us to somehow read his mind when answering the essay questions. I got an A on the term paper, did above average on his tests and somehow wound up with a C. He ever goes over everything that he tests on. Class material was interesting but he's horrible at making sure everyone gets it.

Horrible!!! Made me feel dumb everytime I had a question of comment. On the first day of class stated "I'm tenure so I dont care". Tests were too ambiguous and I feel he graded unfairly. I got a 0/5 on test questions where I had written a page for.

Cool class. Do a bunch of personality tests throughout the course & use your answers for a FINAL (LONG) paper at the end of class. Watch 3 movies oustide of class & write a short paper (2-3pgs) on them. Tests are multiple choice & and not TOO bad. Optional FINAL.
