Very good professor, was very clear about what he wanted to know. It was a challenge taking his class and being a Bio Sci major, but you soon adapt. This made the midterm difficult too. But ask questions, he'll help you a lot!

Nice, funny, but not necessarily the best instructor. Since I wasn't a geology major, most of the concepts taught in 150A and 150B were new and exciting. I found the class somewhat difficult since they used terms from previous geology classes and this was my first geo class. His lectures are slightly structured but mainly scattered.

Lab wasn't bad, just a bit tedious at times. Most of the questions on the lab handouts were very broad, but the TAs will mark you down if you didn't have the exact answer they want. Theres a good amount of partial credit though. Labs usually take the full time and there's 2 of them/week, so make sure u like ur lab partner. Don't get TA w. the dog!!

Even though I am not a geo major, I found this class fairly easy and very interesting. His lectures were well taught, although he likes to call on random people and throw chalk at them. The exams were fair except the question about the huge volcano in Mars, heh-heh. Very approachable and nice.

This is the kind of guy u'd expect to be teaching seminars, not real classes. Lectures were interesting, but prof. didnt talk about concepts that much, instead he liked to ramble about his photographs. Tests expected u to combine knowledge of sed. rocks and rift valleys to answer some off-the-wall question about a passive margin. NOT EASY, WATCHOUT

Great professor, interesting class. It's hard at first to know what to study, but after the first MT you'll be fine. His tests were easier than I expected. If something seems INCREDIBLY technical in class, odds are you don't have to know it, so don't worry about it- he's just giving the class the techical explanation to prove the theories.
