Comment:

SUCH a lovely human being. Cares so deeply for all students and his lessons. It is inspiring and beautiful. Unfortunately, this enthusiasm is not contagious. It is a difficult class to sit through, and you MUST genuinely enjoy the readings to have much interest in the course.

Comment:

Prof. King is easily one of the best Professors at Brandeis. Although he might not get to all the class material planned, he is an outstanding lecturer, a thoughtful professor, and a kind teacher. He is also incredibly receptive to the ideas of his students and really works to shape the class around them. Not to mention his amazing sense of style.

Professor King is a super nice guy and very interesting as well. He knows what he is doing and he knows the subject matter like the back of his hand. However, if you don't have a strong interest in the subject and you don't already know a good amount about it then his class might not be for you. You're expected to know a lot. It's a challenge.

Comment:

If you take a class with King, make sure it's something you're interested in. It's a little difficult to pay attention if you're not into the subject. He ends up saying "um" and "uh" a lot. However, he is a truly fantastic professor, really cares about his students, and has very interesting points of view.

I LOVE tking, he is an amazing professor and a very kind, gentle person. he will totally change the way you look at anything you read in one of his classes. I've had a course with him every semester the past three, being in his class is a pleasure.

There are many people at Brandeis who felel that a class with King was their most influential. He will push you to become a much better scholar. His commitment to pedagogy is amazing. Not for the weak of academic will (A's do not come easy in his class). But you'll get one of the most rigorous tours through theory at deis. And he's cute.

I learned so much in King's class. His lectures cover all sorts of things and really make you think. I loved his class and actually enjoyed the readings, theory, & assignments. Also, yes, he's very attractive and he has his own fan club/cult following.
