O'Neill was very nice and helpful. Don't be afraid to contact him or ask questions. This is an online course that requires a lot of writing and participation in discussions. There is also a large essay that is vital to your grade.

I hate online classes, but Dr. O'Neil was always quick to respond to emails and accommodates dates and deadlines without much grief if you give him a heads up. Expect a full "essay" initial post (3 of em) + 5 responses to each. It's the most "participation" required for an online class I've ever taken. Not hard, just time consuming

Wow, it highly seems like those last four comments were posted by the one and only instructor himself...Good job, Dr. O'Neill! I wish he was really that involved during the times I had him because perhaps, we would have gotten more out of class than leaving early or many cancellations! Hmmmm!

Extremely nice instructor. Very helpful and an interesting class. A lot of interaction. He does a lot, but makes every effort to help students and is very conscientious about things that happen. He is a great instructor and even though you may feel overwhelmed (initially) when getting his syllabus the class turns out to be fairly easy.

He is extremely good at explaining difficult statistics in a simple way. I highly recommend taking his stats classes! He will make learning stats fun and exciting, which may even make you want to learn even more! It is also great that he is a super nice man and grades based on attendance and work-done. Thumbs-up!

He is very clear as to what he expects of you. He gives a lot of assignments, but they are pretty easy. You only have one paper, which isn't too difficult, just time consuming. He is very helpful and goes out of his way to make sure that you understand everything. He is a very busy man, as everyone says, but he still makes time for his students.

I agree with previous writer on comments about it appearing that students are in the way of his matters outside the school and the favortism thing among students. I am not looking forward to another semester with him but I have to chalk it up and do my best to survive (hey, it's only 15 weeks).

2 involved w/ outside entity that shouldn't be bought in2 the class. acts as if students r in the way of what's important 2 him-the michigan model thing & family. plays favorites amongs students & cancels 2 much class time. doesn't prepare students 4 tests & limited on accepting his own mistakes. not a good teacher. another semester? BLAH!!!!

I had Dr. O'Neill for two undergraduate courses, Life Span Developmental Psychology and Research Methods for the Mental Health Concentration Psychology major. Great professor, very smart and a very nice guy. The graduate research class I will need to take taught by him should be informative and interesting. If he teaches the course, take it!
