Professor Russell was the worst educator I've ever dealt with. He was impossible to get in contact with and refused to answer simple questions which he perceived as beneath him. He failed to meet the university's requirements time allowed to respond to students and grade return deadlines. I ended up dropping his class. I have a 4.0 GPA.

On the first paper he assigned this term he did not clearly lay out the rules of the paper resulting in a C as the first grade of the semester. Once I emailed him and asked for help he seemed to back off on grading so hard. He has a specific style of writing he wants to see and that is strictly informational. No exaggerations. Just a boring paper.

For this class i couldn't ever get a hold of him for help. The terms used in the text book are different then the lecture which are also different then the assignments in other words very confusing. also he takes points off for info not provided anywhere in the course.

Best teacher I've ever had! The only saving grace of DeVry University in Federal Way, Washington. Very dedicated, organized and helpful. He even came in on a Saturday to help me with a class taught by another teacher.

Jimmy is the best professor I had while at DeVry. He was the first one to challenge me and he taught in a very organized way. I still have the notes from that class and I can easily scan through them to figure things out. I can't say that about my notes from other classes while I attended. If you are looking for the easy way out--go elsewhere.

Jimmie kicks the llama's ass. He's a total badass! He continually helps students overcome their fear of, oh, little things like electrical engineering and calculus. DeVry Seattle is blessed by his presence. Keep rockin' Jimmie!

he's the best instructor i've ever had. he doesn't put up with slackers, he explains complex ideas in simple terms and pushes students to their limits.
