Comment:
If you even care remotely about your education, do not take Jing's classes. I retook this class to get a better grade (first time was on exchange), and he literally taught us 1/3 of the content. He tried to relate biology to the coursework (maybe it's part of his research). This is the worst class I have ever taken, and he's not even that nice.

What is there to say about Jing Chen that hasnt already been said? He is a genius and a scholar. He was blessed by the lord Michael Burry himself. Though he may have some radical views you have to respect his charisma and the fact that he shows up exactly 3 minutes late to every lecture. This man has taught me more about manhood than my father.

Comment:
Marks on a curve. Very difficult to get a good grade as he is more inclined to meet his distribution than provide the grade which you earn. His classes do not build on the finance degree, instead is opposed to the theories and knowledge provided by other profs. Worst prof in the School of Business, would not recommend

Inaccurate grading criteria given. Lazy in marking as very few questions are given. A radical ideas professor with very little addition to my undergraduate degree. Would recommend not taking him

very indecisive with marking criteria. Tests are out of 3 questions and is not accurate representation of knowledge. Difficult to deal with as a prof and quite radical in view of finance. Taught course material that was contradicting other finance courses. Would suggest not taking him

Dr. Chen is a mathematical genius. He links his own formulas to the biological world and to business in a simplistic way. His tests are easy reviews of the homework assignments. Easy to get an A+ if you go to class and pay attention, and worth going to for his insight on the world.

Such a great prof. Very helpful and has a true interest in what he teaches. He spent extra time outside his office hours to explain concepts to me. Exams were easy and relevant to the material taught in class. Great for anyone who really wants to learn.

Avoid him. He marks on a ranking system, not on a bell curve or raw scores. You can end up with B as the final mark even though you may have a raw score of an A+. You learn nothing. In COMM 320, you'll learn everything he taught in less than a class. I will never take a class with him ever again.
