Professor Rodgers has a really clear grading criteria. If you follow it closely, you should do well. She has two discussions and one open book quiz per week, and two midterms and one term paper. She also offers a lot of extra credit at the end of the year! If you put in the effort, you will get an A, and will probably learn more about anthropology.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to take this professor. She's an extremely harsh grader on discussions and considers practically anything to be plagiarism. She's nice when it comes to extra credit but she's truly one of the most unreasonable professors I have ever had. She deducts points on discussions for using quotes or paraphrasing content.

No matter how good your discussion is you'll never get full point. Getting information from your textbook, framing it in your own word and using it in your discussion is still considered as plagiarism. I would say take this class with some other teacher not her.

I thought Professor Rodgers was excellent. Quizzes have at least two attempts, extra points can be earned, and her grading criteria is specific. She is very clear about the fact that you EARN your grade, it's not given. I think her point system is very generous.

Professor Rodgers online class for ANTH 104 is NOT EASY. She NEVER GIVES YOU FULL CREDIT ON DISCUSSION POSTS and expects you to completely master the material. I took my first mid-term in her class and studied 2 days in a row with tons of notes and I still failed it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER.

Took it over the summer so it was really fast paced and the work load was kinda crazy. Overall it was a doable class, she's not really a tough grader but you do need to put in effort if you want that A (participating in discussions is really important). She gives extra credits and have really clear grading criteria, and text book is a MUST!

I took her class online and her formatting is very different from other online teachers. Her weekly discussion post can be quite lengthy. Her test are pretty easy as she gives a study guide before hand. One thing I liked about this class was that she gives extra points in the beginning of the semester and they can help you if you fail an assignment

Awful professor for an online class. Not helpful at all, or understanding. Seems like she is a good professor in the classroom but her online class structure is too demanding. Her rules do not benefit you in anyway. Ruined the subject for me.

I had never taken an Anthropology class until Physical Anthro. with Rodgers. She was a great professor and really got me into the subject, though I already had somewhat of an interest after taking Biology and Biochemistry. She is an easy grader as long as you follow her instructions! Take notes in class! You also get credit for attending class.

Excellent professor! Passionate about the subject. You can learn a lot. She kind of goes off track at times but still an excellent professor. I didn't know I would take so much interest in anthro until this class. She randomly takes roll. Read the book. She gives outlines for test. Doctor Rodges is great overall. Intelligent lady.

I missed a couple assignments and still got a B because she automatically gives everyone 100 points of extra credit. If you need the class to transfer, I would take her. She was also very helpful if you go out of your way to ask questions.

Demanding as an online class as she has you make 3 discussions on three separate days. Doesn't allow you to write while you are feeling inspired by what the textbook just taught you. Sounds like she might have interesting "tangents" in classroom but online the only saving grace is the textbook. Well written and extremely informative.

Dr.Rodgers... She's an awesome professor. She gets off topic really easily though... I didn't do well on her first midterm but still end up with A in the class. Attend labs and don't miss quiz days! You don't really need textbook, because her blackboard notes are much easier to understand. Overall great class to take. Dr.Rodgers is hilarious.

This was an online I was excited about. The teacher however demands way too much work, requiring you to post on 3 different topics, 3 times on 3 different days, and that is just one of the multiple assignments you have weekly. She also claims to be online multiple times a day but takes 2 to 3 days to respond to emails and isnt helpful when she does

If it weren't for the labs, I would not have had a big boost to my grade. She lectures a little and rants on about her stories which loose your interest. Her work is really easy but she's a HARD GRADER. She isn't specific enough. She lost my first POP QUIZ. And graded my final wrong. If you read the book and just pass lab and tests you should pass.

She's really friendly, but she also might be insane. If you don't read the textbook be prepared to fail. Her lectures consist of 5-10 minutes of lecture followed by half an hour of tangents. Repeat this pattern a few times and you have the class.

Took Physical Anthro 101 with Rodgers and Nechayev. This class is seriously easy. Not worth buying either book for this class, for lab use a friends (inclass). Attend all the labs and lectures (on quiz days only) (3 total) (study powerpoints online for midterms ). Class is 6 hours a week, but requires next to no studying. Easy A or B, recommended!

I took her Cultural Anth. class online and it was pretty straight forward. Just keep up to date on your readings/discussions/quizzes and you'll do well. There's also two journal assignments one due at the begging of the semester the other at the end, but they're not that hard. She also responds pretty fast when you send her a message, which is nice.

Not athlete friendly. If you're an athlete I advise you NOT to take this class. She was able to make arrangements with me, but it was a headache every time. Her lectures were all right, but she'd go off on a tangent once in a while. Average teacher.
