SUPER NICE SUPER KNOWLEDGABLE. Taking her class was a pleasure. Very ASSIGNMENT and PARTICIPATION based (the MTs aren't worth nearly as much as the in class discussions). Just participate and you will pass ( I failed the second MT and got a C on the first, but showed up every day and participated in group assignments/discussions and got a B).BEST!

I was nervous to take this class after some of the reviews, but I'm so glad I did! This turned out to be my favorite class at Davis so far! The content is super interesting and professor Scheib is actually very approachable contrary to some of the reviews. Exams are difficult, but there are plenty other opportunities for points in the class

Joanna is a clearly thoughtful instructor who paid attention to what the class and her TA were saying. This is not an easy class to loll around in but it is extremely fascinating and provides an important biopsychosocial balance.

This class was by far one of the most interesting classes I have taken at UCD it is very bio based and the exams are pretty hard but if you study hard for them you can do well Midterm1 80% midterm2 93% (study hard) The group projects are annoying but they help boost your grade up a lot. There are 10 quizzes but she drops 5 GO TO CLASS vague slides

Dr. Scheib is one of my favorites. She is very available for office hours and is really knowledgeable and passionate about gender and human reproduction. I appreciate that she is so up-to-date on the importance of social justice in her field. She has given me some help on another class too, which is above-and-beyond what most professors would do.

Tests are very unreasonable for a psych class! She expects you to know EVERYTHING and words questions really difficultly. Not only is it multiple choice but also short answer! There are group exercises which definitely help boost your grade. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TAKING THIS CLASS. The teacher is confusing and doesn't know what she's talking about.

She was extremely condescending when I went to her office hours. Someone with her temperament should really be solely focused on research, as it does not involve interacting with students.

Test seemed reasonable initially however when you get your score on smartsite, you mind just goes WTF. Then when you get the actual test back, and now you mind just goes %#@%. it was unbelievably nit picky. had to write exactly how she wanted or no points even though you basically meant the same thing. killed my interest in the subject and course.

Tests are way too difficult! Her lectures aren't clear and powerpoints aren't helpful at all. There was no book so go to class and take good notes. She is nice but unorganized and the class schedule and assignments are constantly changing.

Professor is nice, but it's an awful class! Tests are unnecessarily hard and class is boring. Doesn't really have much to do with gender/human reproduction. I would not recommend at all!

Professor Scheib is one of the best instructors I've had in a long time at UCD. Not only is she an intelligent and knoledgeble professor, but she is funny and her stories lighten the mood of the course. She is upfront with what she expects from the clas
