Comment:

Ms. Meyer isn't a very present teacher. A few weeks after class began it was common for her to blow threw her lecture notes within about the first 30 minutes of a scheduled hour and 50 minute class. She's also very familiar with the math so if you don't know the shortcuts she's using then you will get lost.

Comment:

Jodi is the reason I love math! I have taken both her pre-calc (242) & tig (229) class and she is the BEST and my most FAVORITE teacher at Cuesta! In high school I didn't like math at all, but being in Jodi's class made math fun & enjoyable! I almost became a math major because of her! I miss her dearly now that I am not in her classes anymore. <3

Comment:

She's great person, but her grading style is frustrating and unclear. She is very excepting of questions but it just becomes more confusing the more she trys to explain. If you are great at math take her classes they won't disappoint, but if you are like me and think math is the purest of all evils. Don't.

Comment:

Ive had two classes with her as shes a great teacher. Very clear on what is expected and always very helpful. Class is much easier if youre attendance is good! Make it easier on yourself and just go to class, even if you dont think you need to.

Fast paced, but not unreasonably so for higher level math. Very nice and readily available outside class. Homework is a small enough portion of the grade that if you're a fast learner it's essentially optional. Review time in class before tests is somewhat wanting.

Jodi is everything you want in a teacher. She's very approachable and wants you to do well in her class. Math is not my best subject but she made it bearable. Also, we used notebooks she wrote and fill in the blanks during the lectures which worked out great for me as a student. Would take her again. I wish she taught statistics!!!!!

Jodi is a good teacher but many of her explanations don't go in depth enough for people without a strong math background. Many times after lectures I felt very confused because she wouldn't tell us a list of steps to do the problems. Instead she would just give us examples and we would have to figure out the process ourselves. I managed to get a B.

Jodi is not a bad teacher, but she is just not my teaching style. She doesn't give steps and seems unclear in her lectures. Tests and the final are 90% of your grade and she has said that her tests are very difficult. one good thing is that you can access her textbook online for free. She is very nice if you try. She's just a little unclear.

Very sweet, but not happy with. Her tests are insanely hard, and that's the majority of your grade. If you're like me, and have test anxiety, it's brutal. She tended to rush through lectures and leave stuff not covered and left us to do it on our own. i heard a lot of good things going in, but her teaching style doesn't fit me.

Sweet woman. Took her for Trig and Pre-cal during summer, and she was giving in-class worksheets after every lecture to make sure we were all catching up. Best part is she gives us answer keys and even lets us take pics of it for review! Has her fill-in-the-blanks notes printed out and is sold in the bookstore. I know for a fact she curved my grade

Jodi is so funny and caring that she could make anyone enjoy her class. She goes through her lectures quickly which is convenient for those who are good at math. She also allows time at the end of class for questions and offers optional review days if you are not understanding the material. I would definitely recommend her class.

Jodi is a wonderful professor and human being. An absolute delight who really helped me engage on Trigonometry and it's definitely helped in my later math classes like Calculus. If you have the chance, take a class with Jodi, she rocks!

I want to start by saying that Jodi is a great person. Her teaching style didn't match my learning style. Her class is about 97% based on test scores, so if you're a bad test taker, run the other direction. I was seeing a tutor 6 hours a week, in the math lab just as much and ended up not passing. Review days aren't organized in any way.

Jodi is an extremely enjoyable professor. She had pre-printed notes for us which made the lessons go more smoothly. She was also very clear about what would be on quizzes and tests thanks to those notes and discussion beforehand. If you have the option to take a math class with Jodi, I highly recommend it.

Love this class, I strongly dislike math but Jodi Meyer is so helpful and willing to help you understand the material. I was dreading taking this class, but now I look forward to it because I know if I get stuck Jodi will help me out. She gives lots of clues as to what will be on test too...sweet! Love her teaching style, she is friendly and caring

Jodi is a nice person. She made the class laugh often. But, she's not very good at clarifying things when someone asks a question. She also a few times has said something wasn't going to be on a test and then put it on a test. Luckily, this class is easy for people who have some past math experience.

Jodi was by far my most favorite teacher, although i dread math. 80% of the time classes run early and once, it ran 5 min over. She is extremely helpful, and if you miss a class/test, she is always willing to stay late or meet with you before class. She makes class fun and if you don't understand it, she will help you till you do.
