Comment:

She is a nice teacher and very approachable. The class is very easy if you show up and do the work. The homework can be time consuming but is very easy. Quizzes are very easy as well. Not a lot of essays, and gives you a lot of guidance on them. If you do the work and following the directions, it would be impossible not to pass.

She was wonderful!!! Although it was an online course she was extremely personable. She takes time to meet and explain things if you need the help. She also replies quickly to emails which seems to be hard for many other teachers. The grading is very fair and she offers extra credit. I would take her class again in a heart beat.

Took this class online. To be honest, I have absolutely zero interest in this subject, so take this with a grain of salt: She is a fairly picky grader and nitpicks points. When asked why her answer is better than yours, she commonly says "that's the commonly accepted opinion", with no other justification. It's 3 credits done!

In order to get a good grade in her class all you have to do is the homework and participate in class, it's really not that hard. She can be kind of rude sometimes but I don't think she realizes it. Other than that she's a great teacher and clearly enjoys what she is teaching.

LOVE HER! I had this teacher for eng 101 and 102 and got an A in both! She is a hard grader, but if you go to her and get help shes awesome! She also allows you to revise your essays, and you get an extra point on your AVERAGE for going to campus activities! (Allowed up to three too!). If you dont like english and arent good at it, think twice

If you have her switch out as soon as you can. She will treat you like your stupid. In a typical college semester which runs for about 16 weeks she'll make you do 5 essays (4 regular essays) and one in class final essay. She does notebook checks and you have to have a binder and set up the way that she wants it to be set up. She's a tough grader

Definitely the worst teacher i ever had. She treated us like junior high students and barred no respect for us as adults. I got shafted on a couple of grades because she forgot about the work I gave her! She should not be a teacher.

For an English 102 class this is anything but what i expected. The class was just like a high school class. She checked notebooks, you were required to have a binder with split sections and had to do things exactly the way she wants them done.Not flexible or interesting.

If you take this class, you must be ready to do a lot of homework. You must also be willing to conform to the teacher's personal organization techniques. Her text book assignments are nothing but time consumers meant for highschool freshman, and her teaching methods consist of micromanaging every aspect of her class to fit her own little "agenda." This class is absolutely ridiculous. We spend about 5 hours a night doing these textbook assignments that she gives us, meanwhile she treats us as if we are in junior high school with notebook checks. I'm not sure what she is doing teaching in a college setting.

I have always done very well in English classes, and I struggled in this one...not because the material was hard, but because the professor was extremely anal-retentive about things. You had to keep a notebook exactly to her standards and write exactly how she wanted you to write. She made the class far more difficult than it should've been.

a fun class but she is a harsh grader!!! treats u like a high school kid by making u go through all the "steps" for each paper!! got all A's on papers but somehow only managed 2 get a B in the class...so i am not sure how she does her grading????

Poor Ms Sterling has no command of her class! Often times she reverts to grade school antics to our attention (ie turning the light switch on and off). Give me a break --treat me like an adults and I will respond likewise!
