He is though strict and fair, all you have to do is listen to him. One of the greatest profs I have had in my career at UCF, he is always in his office ready to explain the material and he knows it better than anyone. If you get the oppurtunity, take a class with him, but be prepared to work, nothing comes free!

His first few tests are all long answer, tons of partial credit; however, his final is multiple choice and no partial credit. I had him for ENV 3001 and CWR 3201 and lets just say that multiple choice final killed my GPA (and I had Bs on all other tests!) Just be prepared, good luck!

Hardest teacher I've had in my scholastic career. But I learned a lot and he prepared me for any instructor I'll ever have to take. If you want to learn for the F.E exam take him. If you don't like putting hours upon hours into a course just to pass, don't take him

Material is difficult but exams are fair and straightfoward. Grading of HW is quite harsh but he grades tests more leniently. A very nice man who is patient with students who don't understand the material. Fluids is a tough class, so you HAVE to work to get this stuff.

He can be monotone and put you to sleep sometimes, but is a very good professor. I had him for 2 classes this semester and did well. He's very helpful when you see him during his office hours. He grades very fairly and gives good partial credit. Take him!

Dietz is awesome!! I would take many more classes with him if I could. He tends to put people to sleep including me. His test are very similar to the homework fairly easy if you know what is going on. Very helpful in office hours.

Great teacher. He is retired, but teaches in the fall semesters for fun I guess. His tests are tough, but if you are not clear on any of the material, go to his office hours and he is extremely helpful.

Tests are hard as hell, only took one test because I failed it and had to drop the class. The professor is monotone, which makes me bored and tends to make me sleepy at times. :(

He is always willing and available to help students. He is very good at explaining complex problems. He covers and a lot of material distills it into manageable packets. I learned a lot without having to look all over to find information. Tests were very tough. Be sure to do your homework and attend class.

Awsome Professor really knows his stuff and explains it to where you can understand it. Fluids is a hard class, he does everything he can to help you out very helpful outside of class, but make sure you try it fist hes not afraid to give you a piece of his mind probably my favorite professor yet

Don't know what the rating below this one is all about. Sure the material is hard, but he teaches everything that you need for the tests and he does it thoroughly and clearly. He is very helpful outside of class, and his note-pack includes previous tests. The class is not an easy A, but he'll make you learn the material.

Dr. Dietz is by far the best teacher I've had at UCF. He fully prepares you for exams through his lectures and homework assignmnets. He's always there if you need help outside of class, and he explains difficult concepts in simple terms. If you have him for any class consider yourself blessed.

Good teacher, will spend time outside of class explaining concepts. Lots of differential equations Laplace transforms, no curves, grades homework meticulously tests are very fair, and are graded fairly having old tests doesn't help that much.
