Best teacher I have ever had! John cares about his students and wants them to succeed. I hate math and John presents it in very clear manor. I had to work for the grade but John was very helpful and I wish I could take him for all of my math classes. I just might graduate after all....

Comment:

Mr. Harp is the best math teacher ever. I suck in math and whenever I would do poorly on quiz or test he would let me retake it as many times as I needed so I would pass with a good grade. There is one assignment a week on mymathlab and 2 quizzes and 2 exams. I took his online course, I can't say enough good things, he really wants u to do well.

Comment:

Harp provided us with a nice course layout for people struggling with math. All homework was done using MyMathLabs which made this course either easy or hard depending on how you do in online classes. He was prompt to respond to emails and questions when asked which helped a lot during this course.

Clear on what you need to do. Quiz and homework every week. I got the due date on my midterm wrong and went to take it the day after it was due. He worked with me and gave an extra week to take it! I barely passed this class because I suck at math but I passed because he is so great.

poor communication!2 weeks into the class he sent an email saying we were responsible for the "quiz me" sections with no description of where to find them or due dates and Ifound two seperate sections under quiz me and it took him several ays to respondto me...I reread his instructions and syllibus to find no mention of said quiz me. not a fan.

This is seriously the most helpful teacher I have ever taken. I am someone who despises math and without him I would not have been able to make it as far as I have; finishing up calculus this term and it's all because of him.

I am horrible at Math and this teacher made a HUGE difference for me. If you get behind he has no problem helping you out by extending assignments etc. He really does want to help you learn and he really wants to see students succeed! Great Experience!

Outstanding teacher. Very helpful feedback to all questions. Great explanations. Not my best subject area but he never made me feel bad about asking what were probably really simple questions. I wish all my teachers were this good.

I took this online, which was a big mistake, but luckily for me Harp was extremely helpful, and responded to my questions in a prompt manner. He will definitely make you earn your grade though

Was a bit nervous about taking Math 105 in class. John is the BEST. If you are not bashful to ask for help, then you will pass. You do earn your grade though. John allows you to use 1 page of notes for your final. You take a few test, but you can also use a calculator. You are also graded on attendance.

He is very helpful when you ask questions. He does not lay out his syllabus very well and does not remind you of important dates. If you take this class remember their is a Comprehensive Final Test. He doesn't put that information in a spot that is noticeable.

Easily the best math teacher I've ever had. Quite probably the best teacher of any subject I've ever had. He is really, really good at math but never made me feel less-than because I wasn't. Funny, really good at explaining, never lost his patience even when sometimes I think he could have. He is great; take his class if you have the chance.

Perfect online class for me. I am stationed overseas in the USMC; John worked with my platoon sergeant to make sure tests were available. Responses to questions were fast and clear. Course was self-paced. He's a straight-up guy who will work as hard as you to insure you succeed. Excellent.

John is a great math teacher. His class online is set up well, and you can work ahead in the class. He responds to emails quickly, and grades tests quickly as well. Do be warned that he requires tests to be taken in the MLC or with a proctor.

If I had a teacher like this back in high school I KNOW I would have mastered this subject way sooner. He actually took the time to explain, to help, etc. Great guy, great teacher.
