He literally teaches until the exact time its time to leave and sometimes even goes over. He talks extremely fast so trying to take notes and listen is impossible; its one or the other. He explains things well but tries to cram so much information in one lecture and is disorganized with his syllabus. Getting lost in this course is easy so study

He's a great teacher! Sure, lectures can get boring every now and again, but what do you expect? He covers the material, and as long as you show up to class and take some decent notes you'll do fine. Amazingly nice guy, too, especially when you get to know him. He helped me find a well suited major better than any counselor did in how many years.

Great teacher overall. Goes over the coursework if you ask and is open to correction. leaves the slides on the internet through LCCC's site and answers questions if we have them. It's a bit of a tough course but easy if you pay attention and attend classes

I'm an adult student and this was my first Biology class in 30+ years. Be prepared to work and study. He is helpful if asked. Take an easier BIO class first if you are not up on BIO. Put in the time, get a good grade. Don't put in the time, you will not enjoy the class. Would take Dr. Hefner for class again without hesitation.

HE teaches over the little people's heads! If you have not a clue about science, he is NOT the teacher to have. He DOESN'T teach. He rambles quickly becuz it is material he already knows and he thinks you should catch on like the wind. Very Poor teacher choice for learning LCCC sciences unless you already know the course or want an F!

Great professor. Went Orr everything consisely and explained things. Other people said he doesn't discuss; well if he discussed every little thing on the board you would be there for three years. I had him for Lab and Lecture and the whole class got to know him extremely well. Excellent person and Professor. Plus, he's worth millions!

I only had him for the chem lab but he was a great teacher for the lab and really went out of his way to explain this that the lecture teacher didn't cover. Great Lab Teacher!!

I had such a difficult time in his class! I would not reccomend him as a teacher! When you ask him a question he makes it ten times more difficult to understand!! He gives way too many notes and teaches extremely fast. Request not to have him as your professor!!!

He doesn't breathe during the whole 3 hours & I agree that he likes to hear himself talk. We take notes that are ON THE OVERHEAD & then he WRITES THEM ON THE BOARD.He pretty much rewrites the SAME EXACT THING to waste my time! I could've learned so much more. He likes to keep us after class or to the exact time & doesn't even teach. Never again!!!!

He is a nice guy but he gives way too much notes. By the end of the semester I guarantee you that you will have your entire notebook filled. He basically rights the book on the board. His tests are fair because he gives you a study guide a week before the test so you don't have to study the whole book. But it is still alot of information.Good Luck!

Nice. Interesting background. His notes are confusing and to complicated. I can say in a half of a sentence what takes him 4 sentences to say. 3 hours straight of note taking! Many things in this class could have been made MUCH simpler. I wouldnt take him again. I HAD a 4.0 before taking this class.

AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES OF NOTE TAKING STRAIGHT!!! There is no discussion, I sometimes think he likes to hear himself talk! LOL Seems nice enough so far, but don't know how the tests are yet.
