Miserable out of touch man with little to no education on how to teach a class. Disrespectful to any student who isn't complying with every single rule he has. Unfair grader and is not there to teach. He's there to trick you and tries his best to get you to fail. Passed, but not with out having to teach myself the course work. Wouldn't recommend.

Comment:
Really devoted to his phiolosphy subject but just a horrible teacher. He should stick to having speeches and lectures in church and not in the classroom. Has no respect or awareness of anyone else but himself. Doesn't have email and really doesn't like repeating himself. Very rude to those who come late or go to the bathroom mid lecture

Difficult to understand, not very considerate towards students of their difficulties, harsh grader, high expectations, not very respectful and very rude, his exams are multiple choice but confusing even after studying, his extra credit assignments are preposterous, and cannot go use the restroom, or come late to class, he will embarrass you.

He is very very nasty. Can not come in late if late for more than 5 minutes he will lock the door and you will not be aloud in. A lot of work is to be memorized. Quiz every week and you will study multiple pages to answer in only a few words. He talks fast so record lectures and take good notes or you will fail. Extra credit is 15 pages goodluck

Rushed lectures, ended every class early, not helpful, doesn't give full tests back, only scantrons, limited our 2 hour time slot for the final to 1 hour. And i can keep going. Cancelling the last week of class and the class being dismissed so early every day shows why someone would do bad in the course. No textbook or notes. Doesn't use Canvas.

Wow was I surprised! Yes he does give quizzes that you WILL pass if you take good notes. He always emphasizes during class what may pop up on the quiz or what will appear on a test. I've gotten everywhere from 20's to 100's on his quizzes. I received an A on the class overall bc I got above an 80 on the first 2 exams and was exempt from the final.

He is so hard!!! He has weekly quizzes worth 5 points that are really challenging. If you do well on his tests and midterm, you don't have to take the final. But doing well on those are extremely difficult. I would suggest taking another teacher. He never has time to meet outside of class or he gives you 10 minutes to ask Q's.

Father Perricone is an excellent teacher who really knows his stuff. He is not the easiest teacher but hey, this is college. People may mope about how hard he is but I disagree; if you listen & take good notes you should be fine. He's one of the best philo. teachers at SFC, trust me.

This guy is very passionate about what he does. He loves to teach philosophy, and that's quite normal for a priest. He has some weird rules, but he usually teaches short period classes so it's not that big of a deal. Tests are a bit tricky but there isn't that much work to be covered, you just gotta take good notes. exempts from finals.

If you want to learn moral philosophy or any other branch, take this man. If you are just looking to get your philosophies over with, then don't. You really need to leave your prejudices and way of thinking behind when you go into this class and this way you will really learn. He is very intelligent, strict, but its his class, his rules.

he has this arrogance to him. If you disagree with him or the Church, forget about it. His tests are quite difficult. He also gives weekly quizzes with three questions, if you dont get 2/3 correct, you have to review and entire 10 page article.

talks as if he is Shakespeare in the flesh. Hard to understand. Less then interesting. Tests are extremely hard 70% of a class should not receive less then a 60 on a text...what does that tell you

IF YOU WANT AN A IN FR. PERRICONE'S CLASS: talk to him before and after class about the Latin Mass. Tell him you are interested in the Mass and want to learn more about it. Fr. Perricone is very critical of the current form of mass in the catholic church and says the tridentine mass regularly. HE WILL INSTANTLY LOVE YOU
